It all started with Irreco Widget update and since than All updates that i have already downloaded still leaves a ghost image of it behind . Now why is this happening? i have taken a screenshot of the ghost image! if i try to click on it,it tells me UNABLE to Update!!!!(which has already been download and installed)

Why is this happening..anyone Facing similar problem!!!

Did you try the apt-get update suggestion? If you're still wondering what it does, apt-get is the package manager (the gui you use for installing packages sits on top of it). Apt-get update is the command to update your package catalogs (basically what the gui runs before it tells you which packages need to be updated).

I'd recommend running the following in order under the xterm:

apt-get clean
apt-get update
apt-get upgrade

The first cleans out the package manager cache and the last will upgrade any packages with new versions. Afterwards, open up the package manager and search for new updates. See if the problem remains. HTH.
