If you dropped your n900 down the toilet - would you buy one again?

Unless you are a software developer, would you HONESTLY buy a n900 again?

This has been a fear of mine since my cousin dropped his 2005 samsung flip. He claimed the toilet water was still pure - so i dissembled and air dried his phone. All functioned fine - except the camera.

To answer the question. Yes. I would buy another one.

Wouldn't buy one again if I didn't have insurance.

Love the phone and plan to use it as long as it lasts, but I won't give Nokia any more money unless Meego can really be something amazing (not holding my breath)

i'd buy one again b/c you can get them in UK for £250 new thats half the cost of launch price.
there must be reason why price as dropped that much in such short time maybe nokia are getting rid of n900 stock before MeeGo device is revealed in 2 months time

You bet. I am very definitely not a developer, but there is no other phone I would rather have.

If we dropped you down the toilet, would you somehow find a way to re-register and post again?

Without my N900 I would either have to do without or buy some sort of PDA device. I tried doing without a PDA already and decided that I was happier with one. So that means that I would end up buying something. Lets see, what device would I buy right now from all the alternatives? Well, with the N900 I have access to all my old Palm programs:

With the N900 I can use OpenOffice and the Gimp:

With the N900 I can multi task better than with any other PDA. I can listen to my ogg music collection wile riding on my car, or any other car, through the FM radio. I can watch movies and carry quite a few of them if I want to. I can make mind map notes at lectures using pen pen. I can access the web as if I was on my desktop. I can play gltron (my favorite all time time-waster). I can amuse the little kids from my congregation with Bounce. I can record phone calls. I can use my phone as a remote control for my DSLR. I can use the excellent camera in manual focus mode and enable/disable the leds at will. I have access to a fully rooted terminal without having to hack the device. Etc, etc, etc. Oh, and I can make phone calls.

I think I'll buy another unless something better comes along. ;)
