n900 screen problem
 

Hey i been using my n900 since it came out but for some reason all of a sudden there is a like a blackish cloud in my screen thats visible on a white background. i dunno how or when it happened any1 else with the same problem and know how to fix it

hey will u please learn how to use the internet and this forum? i've seen your other posts and from that i conclude that u don't like to use your brain...and if this topic was never mentioned before then at least you need to provide some details that may help us help you...

how the F are we supposed to know why there's a black cloud on YOUR phone? it doesn't just happen for no reason

I have heard of this only a few times on several devices and I have read these forums everyday for almost 3 years. A search might not turn up a dang thing. Perhaps Curly or Larry can post links.

Have you gotten it wet recently or has it been exposed to high temps like in a car left in the sun?

no i havent gotten it wet recently and i havent left it in the sun either i just noticed it a few days ago when i opened the paint application from where the blackish cloud thing was really visible.

killajatt23 in fairness to you everyone else seems to have white spots, here is the thread with a photo http://talk.maemo.org/showthread.php?t=38815&page=6 don't know if that will help.

hey yea i posted this on the other thread too just wanted to post it here for alittle quicker help :

hey i had my phone since it first came out and theres no white spots on my phone but theres liek thsi blackish cloud here i took some pics u have to tilt ur screen upwardss to see it like going downwards the middle http://tinypic.com/r/2mxk2vc/3

i had same problem it was a white blur on a white background ie i went on google and noticed it the only thing i did was forget to turn it off before i went to bed i duno if this causes it but i took it back to the shop and got a new one no problem since. so i can only assume it may be a fault of sum sort.

o i tried using health checker and it didnt show up any dead pixels or any type of errors it just shows that blacksish cloud on any bright light background.....by the way when u took it to the shop and got a new one did they charge u and if soo how much?

Actually, my point is that for the people here to help others we need more information on the problem.

You can't just say something like "my car suddenly just stopped working!" Well no sheet. The key is to narrow down the possibilities as much as possible.

The OP could have told us that he didn't do anything out of the ordinary (dropped in water, dropped it on the ground, etc.). If that were the case then I am sure we can conclude that it is a hardware issue.
