if i reflashed my n900 via linux using flasher-3.5 ...... will i lose contacts and personal files?

Yes, if you do not make backup and flash both images.... marvelous that you couldn't search and find that answer by your self...

You wont lose your contacs and files if you remember to do a backup and don't reflash the eMMC (or if you just copy all files from your MyDocs to your computer). Just do the backup with the inbuilt backup-program first.

I guess that you have to flash that EMMC-image in Linux too if you wish to lose your contacts. Flashing the firmware will only remove settings and installed apps.

sorry...wts more marvelous is that i didnt had the change to backup anything cuz im stuck in reboot loop tried fixing it and it didnt work,,,i had enough of nokia and their fones....

It's not Nokias fault if the phones is stuck in reboot loop..

And you might wanna look here http://wiki.maemo.org/Reflash Just don't flash the eMMC image.

ive read that wiki i just wana know if it wud erase my data, read my post again in case your too angry to understand for some reason...

Did you install anything from Extras-devel repo?

Then read the wiki again... it has all the information you need.

And i'm not angry.. You shouldn't need to start a new post for that. A simple search would have given you the answer.

ive done it 3 times on windows b4 but i have win 7 64bit
so im forced to use something else and i have linux so im stuck with it for now...

So there might be a bug in USSD.. Then make a bug report for that program developer.
