flashing via linux
if i reflashed my n900 via linux using flasher-3.5 ...... will i lose contacts and personal files?
|
Re: flashing via linux
Yes, if you do not make backup and flash both images.... marvelous that you couldn't search and find that answer by your self...
|
Re: flashing via linux
You wont lose your contacs and files if you remember to do a backup and don't reflash the eMMC (or if you just copy all files from your MyDocs to your computer). Just do the backup with the inbuilt backup-program first.

Re: flashing via linux
I guess that you have to flash that EMMC-image in Linux too if you wish to lose your contacts. Flashing the firmware will only remove settings and installed apps.
