Re: [Announce] BackupMenu - Backup & restore OS images(+ other features)
So I'm not the only one
Code:
Sending and flashing rootfs image (149376 kB)...You could also wipe the flash clean then try to flash it again with flasher, if you have serial access/ssh access at bootup then: Note that this command will write random zeros to /dev/mtd5, so all data on the rootfs will be destroyed! Code:
dd if=/dev/zero of=/dev/mtd5 |
Re: [Announce] BackupMenu - Backup & restore OS images(+ other features)
I get trying and trying but it always halts there... sigh...
EDIT ALLELUJAH it flashes! Here's the serendipity: I issued the flashing command then connected the n900 with the u key pressed. It gave error. Tens of times. The last time, when I had lost all my hope, I re-issued the flashing command without previously disconnecting and reconnecting the phone. And the magic worked :) |
Re: [Announce] BackupMenu - Backup & restore OS images(+ other features)
Good debernardis :)
By the way ... after restoring with success all the system ,, i have some problems T_T In "info" the version of the system doesn't appear .. And i got some problems with the titan kernel. The original system had titan kernel installed... i made a total backup with the program.. Then i flashed with the fiasco image (so even the kernel)... and then my personal root + opt. The whole process was all right. I boot thew system.. and clearly in the package manager the titan kernel appears to be installed (obviously) Trying to remove the kerne it gives me some errore messages... so now i can't reinstall titan -.-'''' The only way should be throght the flasher... But i don't know the mirror of the titan... unfortnately the packege in the extras makes everything automatically... Anyone know where i can find it? |
Re: [Announce] BackupMenu - Backup & restore OS images(+ other features)
you got a shortcut in the program list to uninstall the kernel for OC named :
" Deinstall Kernel- " |
Re: [Announce] BackupMenu - Backup & restore OS images(+ other features)
This should be too simple ;)
It gives me an error even with that because there isn't the kernel installed |
Re: [Announce] BackupMenu - Backup & restore OS images(+ other features)
mmm maybe using apt-get remove --purge
|

Re: [Announce] BackupMenu - Backup & restore OS images(+ other features)
try this link :
http://maemo.org/downloads/product/M...ower-settings/ but should be the same as by app manager :( so almost sure it 'll not work gotta find the deb file for the kernel and the settings lookin' for it :D EDIT : http://wiki.maemo.org/Kernel_Power#H...kernel_version Verification of proper installation First verify, that the kernel is actually running: uname -r should return "2.6.28.10power-omap1" or "2.6.28.10power<version>" If it does not, you should reboot or try to install again apt-get install --reinstall -y kernel-power kernel-power-flasher reboot, and test again. |
Re: [Announce] BackupMenu - Backup & restore OS images(+ other features)
That are only the settings T_T
For the kernel it isn't a deb T_T Or a bin or an img ... :( |
