Receiving lots of reports that theme 14 (ham 'em high part 3) is apparently appearing in lots of places for update now. Haven't received it on mine yet...

Haven't seen it either on my iphone. Maybe android rumours?

iOS version has apparently not updated yet. Weird since that's usually the first one to get an update. Someone told me that Rovio tweeted that the update has been submitted to the App Store for approval so the hang up is apparently on Apples end.

Yes ! The new levels "ham 'em high" arrived.

Re: Angry Birds High score table

That didn't take long to three star. And I got the score achievement before I even finished playing all the levels... Eagerly waiting to see how my scores compare to others.

Note. angrybirdsnest.com is now offering a leaderboard section for their forum users that allow you to enter and compare scores.

I love this game! I'm going to post my high scores as soon as I finish all level packs

Somebody destroyed the spreadsheet :-(

All the calculations for high score are gone (including how many birds required to get the strategy).

Several users had the sheet open, so I did not restore it. I am hoping that one of the users is in the process of fixing it ...

What do you guys think about requiring users to sign in to have access to change the spreadsheet?

I've restored the spreadsheet all the way back to Mar 19 8:17 am, which was the last revision I could find with the left-hand columns intact. Any changes made after that time have been lost.

Including the content of sheet 22...
No problem, wasn't satisfied with the test result anyway.

I feel more for another system.
For example:
one tab (page) for scores only.
second tab for comparing results /averages / highscores etc.

The first tab everyone can add his scores.
The second tab is read only based, so no one can accidently mess with or destroy the scores....

With positive reactions i will work it out....

Please shoot !

As a new member I would like to thank all of you for the spreadsheet. It has been of great use to me in my quest for more points!! I have finished all levels on the paid AB game. Currently my standing is around 500 on the Game Center so you could say I'm addicted.

I don't know if I would like totals on a sperate sheet. Part of the reason I like the spreadsheet is being able to seeing the totals side-by-side with my score. Having them separate would lower the utility.

And speaking of changes to the spreadsheet...

Angry Birds Rio is now coming out and I'm starting some rows for it's scores. (hopefully I got the level structure correct.) Should we be thinking about rearranging how the spreadsheet is organized or keep it with all the games on a single sheet?

I think we have a mis understanding, you can compare you're scores in the second tab. You're score is mentioned including average and high scores. (same like now) Only difference is that it's all automaticly, and you bring you're score in anaother tab. Maybe you can see sheet22 in history. I was working on it last saturday and sunday. if not i make a new sample.

CougRon,
I really like that thought - I've actually thought about keeping a personal copy of the spreadsheet because of some of the messed up revisions that have happened. Separating the comparison/calculated totals in a different & locked sheet is a GREAT idea!

Thanks for the spreadsheet, now I can finally compare my results to something and that hopefully helps me get more points.
I have completed all levels with 3 stars but after seeing the list of High Scores, I feel that I have completed nothing.. Lots and lots of work to do :) Amazing scores !!

We were getting close to the edge there so I went ahead and added a bunch of columns.

Loving Rio so far. Plays nice. There is definitely some small changes to the physics so it plays slightly different. Don't know how many people may notice though.

Is anyone else experiencing problems with scrolling down on the spreadsheet after row 101? For the past few days now, it will not allow me to scroll down any further than this row.

I just keep getting the message “Loading rows 101 through 520” and that’s it. I can leave it to load for hours, but it just keeps on loading and loading and loading!!! I’m therefore unable to view scores after World 5.

Anyone else having this problem?!?

CougRon 2011-03-23 16:49

Re: Angry Birds High score table

Nope. Not having that problem. What browser are you using?

Also. Angry Birds Seasons Free was updated with three st. paddy's levels yesterday. I've added space for them in that section of the spreadsheet.

Rio also has a free edition with 6 levels (three from each group in the full game) but I don't have the time to add them to the spreadsheet right now.

Sometimes the loading takes long from row 101 yes.
On my laptop strange enough no problems....

Re: Angry Birds High score table

I worked out a little example of my idea.
See the tab "input" and "compare".
Idea is that people post their scores in "input".
"compare" will change automaticly the scores and averages etc. so nobody has to change this sheet; when we like it i can also add an automatic name creator, so that new members can't mess up the sheet anylonger.

Please have a look and shoot.

CougRon 2011-03-23 21:42

Re: Angry Birds High score table

Okay, took time I shouldn't have and added a section for Rio Free edition.

@Petrel. Not sure overall. On the input sheet though we would probably want to keep it with levels as rows and players as columns. That way when someone hits enter it goes to their next score and they can just type it in, not go to the next guys score and possibly overwrite his if you keep typing.

OK, I've input all my scores for AB, paid version (total 20,903,750). They are in column "FY". I have about a half dozen high scores in the bunch but don't know the protocol for getting them to show up in the high score list. Also, how do I get my results included in the Leaderboards?

Thanks so much for any info you can give. Just joined very recently so am a real nubie here.

For the record, I'm a retired crystallographer from Southern Ill Univ., thus the "handle".

That's pretty simple. Just enter your highscore in column B, and then your name in column D.

The leaderbord problem is one of the things that borders me too.
This is one of the things i'd like to change automaticly in the new sheet, but there's not a lot enthousiasm fot it.......

Thanks CougRon and Petrel. I think making the leaderboard automatic would be a great idea but I'm not good enough at spreadsheets to make it happen. BTW, saving the spreadsheet in Excel format does not work properly on my Mac (newest imac, newest Excel). Seems to have a problem with the "averages".

Thanks to everyone who participates.

Hi, I made a website where you can upload your angrybirds highscores and see it in a ranking. I thought you are interested in this because I think posting scores in a thread is very uncomfortable.

If you are interested look in http://talk.maemo.org/showthread.php?p=984068 or go directly to the site http://xengi.ath.cx/abohs/.

It has not so much features atm but I will add more in the future. Any help and ideas for improvements are welcome. future version will have views for every level and so on.

I hope you enjoy this service.
A Qt client to upload scores to the site is coming too, but it's not ready yet for testers.

The easter update to Angry Birds Seasons is starting to show up in places so I've added space for the levels to the spreadsheet. I don't have it yet but I'm told the update is 15 regular levels plus 3 facebook levels. Please feel free to make corrections if that's wrong.

Thanx CougRon, maybe you can also add already the name Sullypad in each highscore position ??:)

Wow, I finally rocked a level - 93,150 on 3-17 (2 birder).

However, I'm totally stuck on 3-18. How the heck do you do that with 2 birds???

Re: Angry Birds High score table

Petrel/CougRon,

Cheers guys, you're both too kind. I do apologise, but I've just added 10 more high scores in Rio World 4.

Do you want to know the big secret to high scoring? Here you go; play each level say over 100 times, even if 1 level takes all day with more than 300 attempts. I know it's boring concentrating on one or two levels per day, but the reward is simple; high scores. Example, Rio World 4 took about 7 days to complete, with the exception of levels 14 & 15. Not really tried on them yet!!! (that level 15 is a bastard!) To get the full rewards of high soring a World, I would say requires two weeks play max. Oh, and checking this spreadsheet sometimes helps for a score guide too.

Hope my secrets do not wipe all my high scores away now, but I'm sure all you big scorers out there know what effort is required anyway!

Now all I do is wait for my high scores to gradually fade away!

All the best,

SullyPad

it's easier just to describe you as a mystical high-scoring animal :-)

I do go through and paly some of the levels a _lot_ but on some I'm definitely not getting whatever everyone, or at least the high scorer is doing because I can't even come close which is what I'm usually trying to do.

So, in a nutshell, the secret is to play it over and over until you get really, really good at it? I hate to burst your bubble, but that's not a secret. :)

Also, I'd like to give you mad props, because those are some crazy high scores. Nice work.

Re: Angry Birds High score table

Uh oh. I think we might have run into some sort of complexity limit with the spreadsheet. There was an update to Angry Birds Season Free today and I was trying to add rows to that section for the new levels and I kept getting this error:

Quote:

The formulas on this sheet could not be calculated. Try removing some formulas or modifying complex formulas, like VLOOKUP and HLOOKUP, and recalculate. For more information on size and complexity limits in Google spreadsheets, visit the Google Docs Help Center..
It seems we are only allowed so many formulas per sheet. I was able to get around the error for now by deleting an unused set of columns and some ununsed rows, but I think that's all we're getting. If we want to add any more levels we will need to either: 1) rethink how the spreadsheet is organized, 2) maybe remove a bunch of people who no longer participate and the columns associated with them, or 3) come up with a way to use less formulas or less complex formulas (the formula for the average on each level is huge now).

One thing we could do is make one spreadsheet per game (AB, Seasons, Rio, Free, Seasons Free, and Rio Free). One bad thing with that idea though is that new users are not likely to consistently create columns for themselves in every tab and without that consistently I don't see how we could have a 'Totals' area that shows a sum total across all games. (maybe that's not important though). I don't think we can implement the previous idea of one sheet for data and one for formulas since we would still have the same problem with the number of formulas per sheet.

CougRon - Bummer! However, I like the idea of one sheet per game. Although a total across all games would be nice I don't consider it particularly important. I don't play all games anyway and suspect I am not alone.

Hey SullyPad,

I'm very curious what trajectory you went with on Rio 2-4 with your score of 87,290. I've done it in one bird a couple times going low but can't score any higher than 79,280. Also, I've tried going high through the chains, cutting through three of the four and getting the TNT to blow on the backside, but the middle stack just doesn't want to completely fall.

Thanks for any insight you have on this one!

Brick
