"Overclock widget" from the market or "SetCPU" from somewhere else.

I decided to give overclocking a go in Nitdroid, works really well, can notice a difference in speed that Nitdroid runs, great work by all involved!

Keep it up guys!!!!

I can't seem to find lots of things in the Android Market under NITDroid ???

Can't find Overclock Widget

Can't find SetCPU.

Can't find F1 Live Timing app (http://www.softpauer.com/f1app/) - even tried clicking that link from their webpage from within the NITDroid browser and it searches the Android Market, but still can't find the app ????

Does the Android Market try to detect your device and then filter the results based on that somehow ?

I'm at the moment running NITdroid overclocked at 1100 and it's not a good experience. It's laggy and freezes for short periods of time, mostly when typing in google search. Will scale it down to a 1000 again wich felt smoother :)
Further more i have met the same issue as leetut that the back button doesn't work in the browser. It has worked before and maybe will again ;) No biggy as the home button stil works :)

1. I enabled "flight mode" accidently. is there any way to turn it of? (I tried pressing the power button and disabling it but it doesn't disable it, I tried to disable it in the settings but the little plain icon near the buttery stays). What can I do?
2. how do I close an app? (only by pressing the lock switch about 5 times?)
Thanx!

Dont think its possible yet (well, getting MeeGo to boot nicely from multiboot):

you have to dd the meego image to your sdhc card and as a
consequence you get a repartition of the sdhc. if you extract
the rootfs from the first partition you can use it with nitdroid etc
within a multiboot system.

Installed the setcpu and opened it up in NITdroid made a new reference to set the clock at 950 max. Closed the app and when trying to open it again it force closed and i can't open it again, keeps giving me force close. Can't remove it from NITdroid so will reinstall from maemo and se how it goes and this time try it without any new settings.
Could the problem be that NITdroid is not rooted?
Couldn't find overclock widget in market either.

Ye it gave me the 'not rooted' error, so I dont think you can OC with it in NITDroid. I would only use setCPU for monitoring cpu scaling for now, and change the clocks by editing in maemo.

I installed NITDroid yesterday and after hooking up on my home wifi 8Mbps connection i was able to connect to register my gmail account and getinto Market place almost immediately. I have no issues browsing or d/l loads of stuff off, off market place.

However i tried the built in clock's alarm and there is no way i could switch it off so had to reboot. Is there a way to off it?

Also just an hour back added power.conf file with following settings and it's working in realtime speed. NO lag whatsoever. However it's still getting pretty warm and battery drains at alarming rate same as before o/cing.

# Automatic voltage scaling
scaling_governor ondemand
scaling_max_freq 1000000
scaling_min_freq 125000
avoid_frequencies 950000 900000 850000 805000 700000 600000 55000

I more thing, if i flash zimage 1000/500dsp kernel via PC to o/c the cpu in Maemo will it do anything to multiboot and cause problems in booting to NITDroid? Since i installed NIT, my maemo is now at default 600/250 instead of 1Ghz/500dsp.

When I updated to NITDroid the last time, it took about a minute or less. It wasn't instant but it wasn't too long to bother me. I haven't had many wifi issues as far as connection.

QUESTION: When I updated to the next release of NITDroid, will I lose all my data for my saved games? I am thinking yes, but I would rather ask and know for sure than to guess. If it is a yes, I may have to do the old, copy to pc, paste back into NITDroid once updated...

Thank you and your Team for all your efforts.

Thank you Blues, but i'm not very handy with these procedures, usually I rely on guides made by experienced users than me ... i hope it will be possible to have a detailed guide on how to do!
It would be fantastic!

Will the new multiboot also support BackupMenu (http://talk.maemo.org/showthread.php?t=58633) and fix the reboot issues from Maemo to Maemo (currently I always have to turn the device off completely and then turn it on again) and the charger issue as well (it seems to be impossible to boot while charging)?
Would be really nice!

And does the improved WiFi support include AdHoc WiFi?

yep noticed also the reboot issue and same for charging

As said previously adhoc is not natively supported in android and not easy to add in. Backup menu is a shell script so not supported. Can say rebbot is fixed and iirc charging to

Just reporting, if helpful.

I just signed in took about 60 seconds to sign in under existing account. I installed this only today from the page one info and have only just started the wifi up and gone sign first time to the market place. Hope that helps.
