Maybe there is no /and at the moment so try as Step 3.5 this:
Code:

mkdir /and
Than go on with the steps...4,5....

AlphaX2, no i'm not trying to do NITDroid anymore. I'll do it when I'm ready as it's too complicated for me. I'm not a good reader/follower. I got to admit that this forum has some great assistants/users but it's very confusing as there are multiple installations on one forum. I get confused using this forum. I hope i don't offend anyone but compared to another site (not going to mention, mainly for PDAs) that one is very simple to follow through (that's how i got android to work on my HD2)

I just rebooted it after a battery take out and rest, the SD card showed up (RELIEF)

I know that you don't want android anymore - so I discribed the way to uninstall most of the nitdroid stuff. :D

And sure not 1, but l (L).

Okay, I can understand that it is a bit hard to do all this command line work, compared to HD2 Android Port - there is only bootloader clicking, isn't it?! But maybe there will be a autoinstall option in the future again. ;)

Re: [Android] NITDroid V2 & Multiboot Development And Announcement Thread

I'm back at multiboot 0.2.5 and oc'ing works again. Though it was nice to be able to boot between maemo and droid i simply can't go without oc'ing in maemo. Just gets to laggy and not nice to surf around in and use in general.
Hope there will be a workaround this in multiboot 0.2.9/1.0 cause it would be sad to loose NITdroid. (maybe i will come around and live without oc'ing in maemo).
One good thing i have a clean multiboot now with 2 options instaed of my 5 before wich i only used 2 of ;)
Jay-c do a miracle make it work with kernel-power-settings/flasher :D

hi folks, i've been a longtime lurker here ever since I got my N900 last March.

This is kind of off-topic but I just want to share how I got kernel-power-settings to install after I installed the updated multiboot:

1. I downloaded the kernel-power-settings package from here: http://repository.maemo.org/extras-d...0.11_armel.deb
Then I saved it to MyDocs.

2. Then, opened the terminal and entered the following commands.
Code:

sudo gainroot
cd /home/user/MyDocs
dpkg -i --force-depends kernel-power-settings_0.11_armel.deb

It produced some warnings/errors but when I run the kernel-config command, it runs. And I was able to get back to the 'ideal' setting.

HTH. :)

Tried this and can confirm it works well. I am now OCing power 40 again.

Yup, everything seems to be working normal I have tested rebooting and it had no effect on multiboot nor NITDroid.

And yes, my kernel is updated to power40.

Mine stayed and NITDroid is still OC'd. Just redo the process and it should work.

updated to multiboot 0.29 acc. to nitdroid forum instructions. Managed to boot to Nitdroid but then trying to boot to titan 40 I no longer get aboot options. Any other way to recover from this than reflashing?

I did as suggested and installed kernel-power-settings.

However, I know get errors installing/updating other apps (some packages have unmet dependencies).

It suggests to run apt-get -f install to correct, which just wants to remove kernel-power-settings.

Any suggestions?

Looks like you haven't installed the maemo kernels. Try pressing 0 or b from multiboot menu and see if that gets you into maemo, if so, do the instructions to install maemo and power kernels. The item files will create automatically.

P.S This should be in the help thread.

What did you try to install? I will have a go and see if I get the same problem. If so, looks like the fix is not a total fix and we will have to do without OC for now.

P.S. Help thread please.

The problem here is that 2.9 breaks dependencies. According to Jay-C he cant hep it as he needs multiboot-power and it conflicts with kernel-power, hence no kernel-power-settings.

Now onto a solution. This works for me - I take no responsibility if you brick your phone. Assume that all these commands need you to be root. You can either sudo gainroot or use sudo. Your call.

First remove kernel-power-settings. We can't keep it in place while we want to install new apps etc.

dpkg -r kernel-power-settings

Next we need to get the contents of the package extracted. First move your kernel-power deb to somewhere temporary.

mv /home/user/MyDocs/kernel-power-settings_0.11_armel.deb /home/user/MyDocs/tmp

(please note if the tmp dir doesnt exist you will need to create it)

Ok now we have it in a temp dir lets extract it.

cd /home/user/MyDocs/tmp
dpkg-deb -x kernel-power-settings_0.11_armel.deb /home/user/MyDocs/tmp

Now you should see in that directory two new dirs. One will be called usr and one called etc

You now need to copy the contents of those folders into the system. For example.

cp /home/user/MyDocs/tmp/etc/event.d/* /etc/event.d

Once you have done this the last step is to change the perms on the two binaries.

chmod +x /usr/sbin/kernel-*

Thats about it. Now keep in mind this means you wont get update notifications about kernel-power etc as you are essentially just copying files and not installing the package itself.

About multiboot:

There are some unexpected issues with multiboot_0.2.9,
so I am recalling the release for the time being.

What do you mean with "correctly" - Flash 10.1 is working, but need some work with your own hands. ;)

1. Install any File Manager
2. browse to /Extras and install the "Adobe.apk"
3. reboot N900
4. start browser
5. activate JavaScript
6. have fun

But there are some sites, which don't want to work - i.e. southpark.com - Flash vids.
