Was the green lines problem solved? If so how? Because I've updated and I have those lines, sorry if the question has be answered before.

Nope, still less than ten people took the effort to officially test the current version.
Are you sure we can still vote for your app? I, for one, can't vote, the karma with the thumbs does not appear on your page...

The quarantine ended on 2010.11.07 and there are 10 votes, enough to promote the package.
When a package is promoted voting is closed.

Updated what ? If your OTA is botched, you need to do

sudo gainroot
apt-get install --reinstall adobe-flash*

Re: [ANNOUNCE] Tweak Flash Version

I meaned I updated the tweakflash to the PR1.3 ONE but yes I did get to PR1.3 VIA OTA

So just use that command right?
But what's causing the green lines issue for me to have to reinstall adobe flash player?

Your OTA did not include Flash for whatever dependency/update bug/policy reason. Just follow the thread and use the command :)

You have no idea to do what exactly? Install the tweakflash app? Configure it? or......?

Opera doesn't support Flash on the N900 AFAIK.

I may be ill informed on this, as I was puzzled why none of the third-party browsers could use the Flash plugin, but the newer versions of Fennec/Mobile Firefox are beginning to have plugin support, so it may be able to use the Flash plugin soon.

The difference is solely in the numbers. Tweakflashver is completely unrelated to implemented features or performance.

Re: [ANNOUNCE] Tweak Flash Version

Hi, I had this working fine, but since using the 'clean' and 'autoclean' commands in the app CleaN900 it doesn't work.

Has anyone got any suggestions? I've tried reinstalling both Tweak Flash Version and Adobe Flash itself...

Re: [ANNOUNCE] Tweak Flash Version

Can you give more details on "doesn't work" ? Does it start, give an error message, etc ?

Re: [ANNOUNCE] Tweak Flash Version

Thanks for coming back to me, and sorry for not providing enough info in the first place!

Here's what I did (all within 5 mins): after installing TFV I ran it and changed the Flash version to Linux 10.1.53. Then I checked a site and a Flash video that never previously worked played perfectly!

I then ran CleaN900 and ran the 'autoclean' command. Then I reloaded the same site again but this time the Flash video didn't play - I get a black box where it is situated on the page (as I did before trying TFV).

I've tried a number of things: reinstalling TFV and Adobe Flash itself as well as clearing the browser cache and trying different Flash versions in TFV. TFV reports the new Flash mode fine and doesn't give me any errors, it's just the Flash doesn't play as it did before I ran CleaN900.

:(

Re: [ANNOUNCE] Tweak Flash Version

Hm, very weird - go and check on http://www.playerversion.com/ if you're actually seeing the right version. A reboot might also help. Alternatively, you can try retracing your steps (restore original flash ver, reboot, and then do what you did first time). I don't know what exactly CleaN900 does, but shouldn't affect TFV (the Flash package is part of the firmware so even if you would somehow lose TFV the plugin would be unaffected)

I once tried copying the libflash so file from nit droid (that I downloaded from market place) to maemo plugins where the maemo's libflash file is, it didnt work :(

Android is a very different beast, copying applications/libraries over will almost never work, even if they have the same name.

Re: [ANNOUNCE] Tweak Flash Version

we need something like ( i-swifter ),tweak flash is almost useless on flash versions as now many sites start requiring flash 10 which is nt available for maemo OS ,not so far.hope developers will be working on it.

Weird... playerversion.com is reporting the right version (10.1.53). Could it be that I don't have the right version of Flash installed for PR1.3 (I reinstalled it using apt-get)?

I've tried retracing my steps and have rebooted many times inbetween but still no joy :(

Re: [ANNOUNCE] Tweak Flash Version

TFV will not change the version string if the flash plugin binary is not the same as PR1.3, so that's not the trick... There is of course the super-slim possibility that the site actually updated something while you were surfing it, but that's not really likely.

Can somebody please test :http://one.com.au/motorsport-live-streaming.htm.

That would be greatly appreciated. Live F1 just doesn't cut it sometimes, especially if a decent internet connection is around to stream the F1 live.

Cheers,
Fred

Well, Ladies and Geeks, the days of manually fiddling with your hex editor to work around or deal with terminal/root stuff is over. Fully appreciating people who experimented with this before me (kevloral et al), I give you Tweak Flash Version which allows you to painlessly change the reported flash version from a GUI (and it even makes a backup of the .so - ha !). Note - this will NOT make flash faster or sites genuinely requiring Flash 10 work. What it does is getting you around pesky Flash version checks. Enjoy.

EDIT:

The backup is at ~/MyDocs/libflashplugin.so.pr1.2

A Diablo version will follow shortly when we get the kinks sorted out on Fremantle.

You don't need to restore the original libs if you are already using kevloral's binaries, tweakflashver will handle those just fine.

i have problem with web application after the last update of ssu community there is some problem in my web app the problem occur is i am unable to play video in facebook site when i click on video its shows a message that u have to upgrade adobe flash player but on the other hand it plays the video on youtube site i dont know what to do with it so plz solve this problem.

Hi!
I tried to install but it gives package dependency problem.
It needs adobe-flashplayer(>=3.0.0.87+0m5)

I tried to install it via apt-get but it doesn't work.

Can some one give me a hint?

Thanks
