Re: Share your Widgets!
hi,
i check and the images are stored in the /home/user/MyDocs/.images/queen_beecon_dir/ is this correct?? and the widget in the bottem right is a qbw i created from the overclock for begginers thread, however i cant seam to find the thread atm, cheers snake |
Re: Share your Widgets!
@thesnake505
That is really weird:confused: I am assuming you have already done basic troubleshooting like rebooting, refreshing widget etc etc and also you are using the latest qbw version.. You may try to remove the widget completely and then do a fresh import again.Also confirm that you are actually able to switch between profiles by clicking them so to be sure only images do not work for you. |

It seems to me you don't have correctly imported the Beecon as your widget looks like configured by hand starting from scratch and not by import via Advanced Dialog Box (actually it seems a snippet and not a beecon) I believe we'll be more in topic if we move HERE Please, post screenshot of your new QBW settings with all parameters (5/6 screenshots) I'll try to walk you through. |

Re: Share your Widgets!
I'm having some problems with the buttons.
http://img706.imageshack.us/img706/1...0093011311.jpg Check the stock and 1GHz buttons. They're working but they aren't where they should be. How do I rectify this? |

Thought I'd share my simple widget for quickly accessing music and call/sms. I'm using this in the car. The Quick menu button shows and hides the "widget" and when visible also makes the backlight stay on. Play button activates the fm-transmitter+fm-boost and pause button deactivates it.
Make 9 widgets and import the text from the txt files, then change the "Quick menu" buttons cmd code ID's to your corresponding widgets ID's. Do the same with previous/next buttons because these are connected with the play button. Edit: import_qbw.zip updated |

Advanced Conky Launcher
Conky is a very powerful tool to display system information, however no tabs and scrolling means very limited information can be squeezed into one window. This is why I created three separate conky configuration files to address only specific categories in each window viz. CPU, Resources and Network. To top that, you can even launch them simultaneously!:eek::D (Disclaimer: May cause performance issues) Attachment 14936 Installation Extract the zip and
Code:
/home/user/MyDocs/.images/queen_beecon_dir
Code:
/home/user/
Use the tabs to switch between different views.Click the body of the widget to launch conky with that configuration. Edit: Network file changed on suggestion of Creamy Goodness |
Re: Share your Widgets!
conky widget imports fine and clicks show circular icon but nothing else. cant swap between cpu , resouce etc or display any info .restarted phone , conky already present and all files correcly located , will try from pc not filebox and report back. cheers though techie once i get it working will be a definate improvement on original conky.

Re: Share your Widgets!
techie, I have also the queen bee image on the most of my qbw. How do I get rid of them? How can I change the layout(I'm not talking about the color, that one I allready found myself :)
I've also used your code in a widget, but I have the bee + I have stock and ideal, but everything is one button, with i dunno what function. anyway I thank you and all the guys who put all this kind of stuff online! |

It would be a shame if it only works for me:( though I can't imagine why.Did anyone else get it working? By the way small mistake in scheduler file, corrected and reuploaded. @Kenny1001 Are you talking about the images in centre and bottom right? Attachment 14945 then simply change the position to "hidden" for both Command Title and Command Result Attachment 14946 Quote:

Re: Share your Widgets!
@techie can't make it work with the new acl.sh file, but if i reproduce the steps from the old acl.sh file i can make it work again? ;)
Don't know what the problem is, it doesn't help to delete #'yourname' (second line) in the new acl.sh file eventhough it looks identical to the old as far as i can see? So i'm gonna stick with the old acl.sh file that works for me :) Just let me know if there's anything else i can do ;) |
Re: Share your Widgets!
using latest files from techie conky QBW working better but not perfect :) tabs change , info displays correctly but cant actually open conky itself from widget. not a worry personally though as can still use icon on desktop. of course if you could fix ? ;) :)

Re: Share your Widgets!
@msand83
Excellent work.:)I would request that you list the ids you used for your widget so its easier for all of us to configure it on ours. for eg next and previous update another widget using its id.Now I was able to find that its of play widget 'cause not only does it make logical sense but also because its my code;) It would be much easier for everyone if you listed them. @qosmio thanks for reporting back.Seems the script is now working (would appreciate more feedback), however (from moepda's post) running conky as background process is unpredictable on other devices. I always prefer one widget to do everything but if conky won't launch then I will be forced to create 3 separate qbw's to launch conky for each. Let me know if its working for anyone else |
Re: Share your Widgets!
?? You are saying images did not display for my OCCP widget.Make sure they were copied correctly
I copied your code, so it should be good. But it would be cool to add a color here or there.. the functions work; i see temp, cpuspeed,root, battery%.. But i'm thinking what can ben more possible.. should the "stock" and "ideal" zone have a function? Because in my case, they don't. And I read that other ppl have the same problem :-) The images are gone thx. thx for your effort! |

To me it seems the import wasn't completely successful on your device,please try again. Also read the first post about the widget thoroughly, it is very clear about how to set it up and configure it to your own requirements. @moepda Thanks for reporting, however I haven't updated to pr1.3 so can't inspect.In any case No!No!No!Yes! will need to provide a fix in his app so make sure he is aware of it;) @RAZOR Please report output of these commands in terminal Code:
sh /home/user/acl.sh 2 5 idCode:
osso-xterm -e "nohup conky -qdc /home/user/CPU_conky.conf & exit" |
