Phone is on... BLACKOUT SCREEN!!! help!!!!
 

hey guys i hope someone can help me
i was using my phone and suddenly it started blacking out and coming back
finally it just ended up with a black screen
i tried to turn it off and on
took out the battery
charged it completely
connected to pc
the phone boots up and charges fine
i was even able to get calls but not answer them and take pictures but not see them because my screen is COMPLETELY black!!!
can anyone help me please!!!

Sounds like you may need to reflash your phone

I have the exact same problem and I am unable to flash because when I hold the U key the usb symbol in the top right corner doesn't appear!!

maemo5 was on the latest firmware.

I was trying to use the nitdroid installer, and when I rebooted that happened

if have no idea why i am unable to get the usb icon the appear when I hold the U key though because I have flashed it many times before

You dont need to have the screen tell you, all you need to do is start the flash procedure on your pc hold down the U key and turn it on.

I already tried that and the flasher says that the usb device could nto be found...

then you may have a usb port detachment problem.

i think it may be that the device may not detect that I am holding down the U key, or any other keys for that matter

try connecting to tv out and see whats on the screen
