increase time before setting mode open when you tap on desktop?
 

Yes like i said in the title...

how i can increase the time i need to tap the desktop screen to entered in ''setting mode'' desktop


yes cause a lot of time, i accidentely tap my screen and setting always open when i dont want it...(that cause a slowly experience some times for swap desktop)

any way to increase this time

cause now its set around 2 seconds and its not enough for me

i need 5 seconds minimum....

like this...if i reall want set my desktop i need press desktop 5 second (no more no-desired open setting issue)

I don't see the reason it should enter in setup mode at all. Everyone i know is annoyed by its current behaviour.

It should be like the fullscreen button.
Tap somewhere, the icon pops and if you want its action you press it.

There was a package called modified-hildon-desktop by a community member that make the editing mode configurable. It was PR1.1 and I don't know if the package is maintained/updated or not.....

At least it's doable. Maybe we can kindly ask for collaboration from the author when MohammadAG setup up his community SSU for Maemo 5.

any idea where is source code for this modified-hildon-desktop

cause now i find just an install link from the wiki but nomore

iam sad nothing can be make it for this issue simply whith some command or other easy way

but if modified-hildon-desktop for PR1.2 is projected in the future, this feature need to be in...

any clue is appreciated

modified hildon desktop version 2.0 is for PR 1.2, and it is available in my repository. The source is also in my repository, the source package is called hildon-desktop:

and you think this ''increase time'' can be made it trough your modified hildon
cuase iam little bit novice but if you can confirm me its possible...iam always in for try cooking somethings for this ''feature''

i mean the ''setting option time'' for open setting of desktops on taping screen should be allready in the original version in my point of view lol
