Citation Manager (End Note, Procite, Reference Manager)
I have searched the forums and apps attempting to find the best way to manage Citations on an N900. Science and Medicine commonly use 'End Note', 'Procite', and 'Reference Manager' file types.
Any suggestions? Thanks |
Re: Citation Manager (End Note, Procite, Reference Manager)
I don't think there are any apps that do that. Best I could think of would be to go through EasyDebian.
Or if Zotero could be modified to work in Fennec (Mobile Firefox) or microb.. |
Re: Citation Manager (End Note, Procite, Reference Manager)
I use Mendeley (http://www.mendeley.com/).
The desktop version is closed source, so no chance of a port, but you also get a free online account that you can manage your references from. I haven't used it from the N900 but I can't see any reason why it wouldn't work. You can then sync to your desktop version when you get a chance. I've just checked and the web importer works nicely from microb. Cheers, Jan |

Hmm it seems there's a web version of Zotero. Not sure how it compares to the actual extension in Firefox though.

Zotero is great, I sucessfully installed Zotero on my MicroB but I can't use it :( May be i should try Firefox.
I also contributed to Zotero in implemented translators as well. |
Re: Citation Manager (End Note, Procite, Reference Manager)
guys what's end note exactly. I know it's a reference manager and an expensive one at that. I have a free copy of it but I've never really used it, is it worth installing?
I installed jabref through easy debian for managing my references on the N900 and PC but I don't know if it differs to the managers you mentioned since I've not used any of them. Here is a screenshot of jabref, it takes about 3 minutes to start up but once it does it is usable. http://img265.imageshack.us/img265/9...0082001350.png |
