Why cant people have different opinions about a phone...if you say something like "i dislike nokia n900" you get accused of trolling which i must admit i dont know what it is...i just expressed my opinion and some people didnt like it and act like a child towards me....some may like n900 and some dont but i think it dont give people the right to be childish....

Trolling is exactly what you're doing. Let me google that for you here. Nothing to do with you expressing your dislike for the phone, it's how you're doing it. If you do have issues and express them in a clear concise manner, people here are always willing to help.

help how about making a topic saying "problems with n900" and no one helps its rather sad really...and WHAT THE **** IS TROLLING?? is that clearly put for some people i have never heard of that expression before.....

It can be bewhildering when you come on here for the first time, but please remember that this is not a consumer forum - it is more of a technology-based community who for people who want to work to improve the device(s).

Many of us find it difficult to find our way through the pages of 'Trolling' to get to the nuggets of info we need to improve our experience.

There are other sites for Nokia customers to complain on.

Negative experience is valid here, e.g. "I can't make my N900 do this - can anyone help?" but complaining for complaining's sake will stirr up a hornet's nest, so take care!

i want my phone to work and i have had 3 replacements and waiting for my 4th...why are you all being mean....its really uncalled for...i've tried asking for help and no one is helping me....i cant see myself how u can get 3 phones with same problems.....i've had enough of this rubbish

Actually, I don't know what your issue is, therefore I can't help you. Please tell me what your problem is.

As I said, I just have one, and that one works perfectly.
However, if you don't like yours, you can always sell it and buy another one.

Becks, I have just been trawling through your posts and I think you have bought the wrong phone.

The N900 is an amazing device but it will require some sort of experience with Linux and what not to get what you want from it.

I have never had a Linux run system of any sort before and only got this phone as a way out from my terrible N97. It was a shock to me when so many things I thought would work just didn't (MMS, apps etc) so I had a very steep learning curve.

I soon found this community and began to make use of my phone and now actually enjoy tinkering with the thing. If however, you are not a tinkerer I really think you need to speak to your provider and get another handset.

If you've had to replace your N900 that many times, the bigger question is, why on earth have you not ditched the N900 for good and picked up another phone?

I do not know if you know this but:

- This is community site
- This is NOT Nokia support. If you have issues with N900 first thing would be to contact Nokia support
- People like to hang out here and test what developers are producing and have conversation with people who like to test different stuff.

And about disagree. It´s fine to have opinion about something, but if you want help from community driven site then please do not cry fro help. Ask politely and most importantly first search and then report what have you done and what is not working. If you want to give FEEDBACK please contact NOKIA. Or if it´s bug please report it to bugzilla.

@lovelymummybecks why spend all this time and energy being offendet and some what acting childish yourself instead of clearifying hyour need for help?
To be frank i think you're trolling aswell.
Can you explain how that replacement works, do you send your device of to them and then they replace it or is it the other way around?
If it's the first you don't have a device and therefor not in need of any help and hence trolling. If it's the latter well why waste time on a phone you're gonna replace with a brand new?

It's just this repley that got me thinking (waiting for my 4th)?
