i formatted an micro sd card on my wifes 5800 and put it in my n900 but it dont show up. how can i formatt it with my n900 without using a pc

there are at least two ways:
1.open filemanager press on the sd card until a menu comes and select format.

2. open xterm.
get root (install rootsh for example and type "root")
mkfs.vfat /dev/mmcblk1 (be carefulll check first if this is the right device...)
