Latest SSU Prevents LED Notifications
Edit: I just realized the LED doesn't work for any application, including the built in chat client. The LED notifications are checked in the control panel, and the device does briefly use the LED when it turns on, so it's not physically broken.
I have filed this under Bug 11230. I just upgraded to the latest Community SSU. First of all I want to say thank you to all the developers for keeping Diablo alive. It's great that there's such a wonderful community around the n810 tablet. I just have a slight problem, which I hope won't require a reflash. I use Claws mail, and before, both with the older SSU and with the Nokia image, the LED would blink whenever I got new mail. This doesn't work any more. This was a key feature for me, so I'm hoping I can get it to work again. If anyone has a fix or idea I would be most appreciative! Thanks. |
Re: Latest SSU Prevents LED Notifications
Here's a small update. The only fix I could find for my device is reflashing. I first tried to just reflash the kernel with:
sudo ./flasher-3.5 -F <firmware-image> --flash-only=kernel -f -R Since I thought it might be something that changed in the kernel. Unfortunately, that did not work so I just reflashed the whole thing, and now the light works again. |

Re: Latest SSU Prevents LED Notifications
I had my LEDs not working for a moment, notification and keyboard, but I solved it just by leaving the battery out for the night. I suspect that the whole night isn't neccessary, maybe a shorter period is enough.
I didn't notice you tried taking the battery out. |
