Python 2.7 For Maemo5?
 

Will Python in Maemo5 eventually be upgraded to 2.7? Also will MeeGo 1.1 have Python 2.7?

AFAIK Maemo 5 will always stay at 2.5, and MeeGo currently has 2.6.

Which features do you want from 2.7 that are not in 2.5/2.6?

Hi, I would also like Python 2.7.
Timeout on ssl sockets has been fixed in that release.
Without it the timeout needs to be done manually in a non-clean way.

@thp : Well, one of the joys of Python is being able to code on a desktop and run that on the N900. Having the same version on both is one less pitfall to worry about :-)
