You have to uninstall it.

If you installed it from the application manager, you can just uninstall it using the "deinstall kernel" program that's installed along with it.

I wouldn't bother though.

Just wait a couple days for the power kernel version.

Can anyone tell me how to enable patched mode using ps3freedom? I have been trying to play f1 2010 with open manager 1.16 and others have reported that the no controller problem will be resolved if i open the game in patched mode. I have tried pressing the R2 button but the open manager is still in normal mode. It does not change into patched mode. Is the ps3 jailbreak app compatible with hermes v3?
Can someone tell me how to get this working?

you must have the hermes V3 .ko file payload and of course the gui app must be using this new .ko which you would manually would have had to place in the correct directory ... i dont know where as i dont use the gui app... if pressing R2 does not place it into patched mode it suggets the hermes V3 is not being loaded

Can someone tell me where the .ko file goes so that i can have the hermes v3 version with the ps3jailbreak gui app

^^^ which kernel are you using? the hermes v3 .ko file only works for the omap kernel. if you are using the omap kernel, the .ko file should be in the root folder (correct me if i'm wrong)
