Eldar again!

Well, no reason to complain that N900 was too short-lived then. More than a year between its release and the next model. :D

Look, get real with life, man. You can't go around believing everything you read on the internet.

pff. from the article:

"According to “Nokia insiders” the MeeGo-powered N9, which was thought to be airing at Nokia World, has been delayed."

"Many experts felt that Nokia World would be a MeeGo-fest"

see the familiar theme? 'experts' and 'insiders' making assumptions and speculations that are wrong. well, isn't that surprising? tech pundits are given far too much credit, in my opinion. (which, by the way, is all they're giving you: their opinion.)

With so many pieces still not refined (that we know of), a delay would be advantageous for Nokia; especially pertaining Ovi Store and other parts that should be up, running and polished before the release of a so-called step 5 of 5 device.

Business as usual for Nokia it would seem. They REALLY need to learn to not say ANYTHING until its set in stone.

They haven't said anything regarding the N9...
Officially the Nokia N9 does not exist. So it can't be delayed or canceled.

Re: Nokia n9 delayed?

The momemnt such thread come out the "Official" word is bandied around a lot.

In todays world there is no Official word to start the ball rolling. Its these leaks and blogosphere interest which is inddicative of a product's existance. Any company will not say it exists untill they say it exists - so that is a moot point.

But the leaks about a product are always near the official word and herald an official announcement. That the way the market works these days.

So if there is a long period between such initial leaks and the official word - that to all purposes (not "official" purpose) is a delay.

When the N9 comes out, its technology will be outdated... Sure it's impressive right now, but it won't be by 2012 :(
Im sure by the time the N9 actually releases, we will be talking about the N10

"A Nokia representative, responding to this story, told mobil.se that while Nokia did say that they will present a new phone with MeeGo on board in 2010, they never said when exactly that will happen. In other words, “what delay?”. And if you look at it this way, they’re right. However, I’m sure that some kind of target date was set internally. And that appears to have been Nokia World, as expected."

That's a load of crap. No specs have been announced. No device has been announced either.

btw, the N900 was the best specced device on the market when it came out and it still holds its own against the competition a year later.
