i have downloaded the files from psx-scene but the x terminal says "can't open psfreedom-enable-maemo.sh" whats the issue?

No. But with JIG mode you can make firmware downgrade 3.50>3.41.

It's very old version, install fresh with GUI (0.6) from Extras-devel repo's. it's work fine for me.

how to enter in service mode with red box? i've selected jig mode and pl3 connected to ps3 slim and did the power eject button. its is jailbroken. then i turn off ps3 via menu and disconnect n900 and power ps3 on but no service mode. whats wrong?

Last psfreedom version (0.6) from extra devel already have JIG (downgrade) option. You can use it with PS3UPDAT.PUP and Lv2diag.self files from psx-scene. But fresh message from scene say's "I have 100% confirmed downgrading your PS3 console, kills Blu-Ray Playback!".
May be waiting few days would be wise decision.

but the thing does not get into service mode, how to downgrade? have you ever tried it? if yes, give the steps. thanks

BEWARE PEOPLE, IT HAS BEEN REPORTED THAT WHEN YOU DOWNGRADE YOUR PS3, YOU LOSE THE ABILITY TO PLAY BLU-RAY MOVIES!!
