Re: [Announce] PSFreedom - an easy way to jailbreak your PS3
FWIW, can somebody try this in terminal? I wonder if it's a Qt issue...
Code:
sudo psfreedom-enable-n900.sh --pl3 --jig |
Re: [Announce] PSFreedom - an easy way to jailbreak your PS3
Should I start PSFreedom after writing that in xterm? My terminal said: "Detected kernel-power, creating symlinks..."

So i just go to my terminal and do the command that you said without getting root acess? So it says to me "Detected stock kernel, creating symlinks..." What am i going to do now? What i should to do? |
Re: [Announce] PSFreedom - an easy way to jailbreak your PS3
I've tried plugging it into my PS3, but nothing happens. But i get the same notification as if I plugged it into my computer (PC suite mode or mass storage)
I might be doing it wrong, however. I can't seem to figure out how the boot thingie works. When I press the eject button on boot, my drive starts to spin up, as if it's trying to detect a medium. |
Re: [Announce] PSFreedom - an easy way to jailbreak your PS3
Just type the command and do what you always did, plug it into the PS3, turn off/on then power + eject.
And sudo = root access. |
Re: [Announce] PSFreedom - an easy way to jailbreak your PS3
1) run x-terminal
2) root (if easyroot installed) 3) type psfreedom-enable-n900.sh --pl3 --jig you gain "Detected stock kernel, creating symlinks..." 4) switch off power cable 5) connect n900 to right slot of your ps3 (near to BD-rom) 6) reconnect power cable 6) punch ultra combo kick "power+eject!" 7) ignore any splash screens, just wait. 8) enjoy... As i'm write before this steps turn console on pl3 jailbreak mode. Factory mode don't work anyway. |
Re: [Announce] PSFreedom - an easy way to jailbreak your PS3
I dont really want to sound like a trad, but do we really need to use pl3 since pl3 is for jailbreaking and we are just trying to get in to service mode?
