place the bin file in root

in x terminal

psfreedom-enable-n900.sh
"it takes pl3 as default"
cat psn350payload.bin > /opt/psfreedom/payload

and i jailbreak normally!

nothing happens! it keeps requesting the software update!! PLZZZZZ HELP WHAT AM I MISSING???

For PSN access only use the default_payload.bin that was posted in about page 52. It worked for me.

Just tried this on my PS3. PSN works. When i try to open netflix it goes to loading screen and then kicks me back to the XMB. Atleast it does not prompt me for the 3.42 update.

Any advise.

You typed something wrong then. You're copying the file to the wrong place. It's /proc/psfreedom/payload, not /opt/psfreedom/payload.

The command is: cat /whereveryousavedthedamn/payload.bin > /proc/psfreedom/payload

You simply have typed something wrong.

No, I understand now what's wrong. You've all this whole time been copying the file to the wrong place and as such you have used the default payload _without PSN fixes_

anyone able to play tv superstars ? i try with the latest PL3 payload ( the one post here) and get black screen after sony logo. i wonder if i have a bad game files or payload problems . :confused:

To use Netflix you have use the NUS payload (payload_no_unauth_syscall_3_41).

*Delete the any Netflix install and download it again with this payload running.

I tested it and it works.

I got it to work with Open Manager v2.1-I on internal and patch mode on. Use the Hermes payload attached

Also we cant run psnid changer, as we re using pl3 so we cant do sys calls, so we re more likely to be banned.
How can we get it to run?

I've deleted everything and started from scratch, got psn350payload.bin and.... THANK YOU!!!!!!!!!!!! It finally worked just fine for me! thanx aloooot for your help mate!

The package wont even install from the library... whats going on?

How do install this and get it running hermes 4b?

Theres a lot of talk an no guide anywhere?

For the hermes 4b 3.50 PSN payload, we have to use the hermes JB in the GUI ?

It doesn't matter what you select in the GUI because the payload you load from terminal overwrites that anyway.

Yeah you have to select Hermes in the GUI.. otherwise you gonna get a write error.

Thank you very much, and it works using the /proc/psfreedom/payload method, but that's kinda tedious.

I wonder why MohammadAG hasn't released an update to the software with the new kernel modules... I think I'm gonna recompile at least the one I use (Hermesv4b + PSN) with this bin.

i hate to bug, but i cant find a place to put the hermes 4b.bin file. i looked under /home/opt/psfreedom/payloads cant find a file to replace and the rest are just ko files.

You don't replace anything, you load it from the terminal.

Update: Just tried to login to PSN and it prompts me to update the software. Looks like sony has fixed the plug. You guys know any other options for netflix/ hulu other than playon?

Another update: When i click on netflix it asks me top log in to the PSN and i click OK. So it tries to sign in and then says i need to update the software. I just click back and the netflix app continues to load.

Thank god. This is all i wanted.

its a planed downtime till 6pm in whatever contry there working in. its for maintenance on psp and ps3 PSN. we will be back on PSN in a few hours

Hi there I'm using psfreedom but have some questions that I didn't find the answers anywere else:
-After executed the program and get the green light, Can I pull the USB cable, turn off the phone or close the application?
-(If I can't) Which one should I do first: turn the PS3 off then close the app or the reverse?
-After applied the jailbreak I need to run it everytime I want to play the backups or the backup manager will run even without running the app?

I tried all other payloads posted on this topic. They loaded, but they didn't let me load any backups. (Either Open Manager can't list any backups or after loading they end up with a black screen)
When I tried loading this one it said "cat: write error: Bad address". Any solution for this?

If you get an error when doing cat then no, they didn't load. You don't have the kernel modules loaded, that's why it fails.

Now that PSN access is blocked by sony and Netflix doesnt work, can we go back to the regular PSFreedom GUI jailbreak using the latest power kernel.
