Re: [Announce] PSFreedom - an easy way to jailbreak your PS3

I'm also having trouble getting f1 2010 to work.

Copied it to internal using OBM 1.162 patched mode.
Replaced the .ko file in OMAP.

Help is much appriciated, also from other people that got it to work.

Edit: managed to get it working.

I use psfreedom UI (cause i'm a nooby)
Updated to version 3-4.
Replaced the .ko file from this forum and copied it to the omap folder.
Uninstalled open bacupmanager 1.14, deleted old game data f1 2010.
installed open backupmanger 1.16 from this forum on the ps3.
copied the game to internal using patch mode, installed game data again.
play.

p.s just open psfreedom, enable bd emulation.

Major credits for the new compiled ko file! (i don't know if this is related to hermes payload?)

Thanks all for help, u can't get it to work, i will try to help just state your exact problem clearly!

Anybody wants to put these new changes into the psfreedoom gui so that everybody can just download it on the N900

(as I think this could help a lot of the new people to the scene)

You can replace the psfreedom.ko in folder omap1 to the new. Button to enable/disable psfreedom already works. Only the buttons, associated with select payloads does not really work(BD emu and others), will work payload, which is hardcoded in psfreedom.ko module.

Hi ! Thanks for your answer, I have:

Why can I do, exists any .ko compiled for 2.6.21-omap1 with Hermes v3 included ?

Mohammad, do you care to add these payload to the list, so I dont have to update my PS3 from 3.15 and lose otherOS?

There are options in the make file for fw 3.01, 3.10 and 3.15

yes, it would be nice if one could chose a payload with 3.15 support, cause the one in the repo did not work for me.

New modules "by default" works on this firmwares, without any payloads. psfreedom in repository is very old, not supported any without 3.41
Install psfreedom from repository and change psfreedom.ko to new, posted in this topic.

This is what has been working for me with regular kernal.

Install PSFreedom GUI.
Replace psfreedom.ko in /home/opt/psfreedom/modules/omap1 with anray's build.

Launch PSFreedom. Turn Jailbreak on.

Don't touch the emulation settings. Everything you need (Hermes, BD Emulation, etc.) is already enabled by default, no matter what it says under BD Emulation status.
