I just upgraded from the verson 2.8.0 to the new version in HAM but when i open the app it still says version 2.8.0,is it supposed to do that?

I have twimgo 2.8.0 from forumnokia site and it works fine. If I try to update to extras-dev version via apt it wants to install 15MB of libqtm-11 libs even though i already have libqtm-12 libs. Why is this? Also why is fapman hiding the upgrade for me?

The new version forces the GPS whether you decline or accept, and I can't turn it off from the status-menu either. I don't need the extra battery hog, so I'm reverting back to the deb version from March.

i tried to install the latest version (after deinstalling v2.8.2), but i get an error libqtm-11-declarative is missing...

Just received OTA update to already installed v2.8.3

This means that Twimgo is now in the Repos!

enable extras-devel catalogue and it should grab the dependencies as I had that issue.

Hmmm, I'm not seeing TwimGo in extras-devel, and can't successfully install it using dpkg :(

Anyone else experiencing this? From the Maemo site:

"Warning: Promotion of experimental Qtm based applications (libqtm11 or libqtm-extras) is blocked due to conflicts with stable versions."

Thanks for the suggestion.

If the dependencies are not met, I cannot see how TwimGo will successfully install, regardless of it coming from Ovi, extras-devel or stand alone .deb package.

Any one else care to share their experience of recently installing TwimGo v2.8.3?

As I said I had problems installing it.

Think I may have had to install manually from terminal:

libqtm-11

or

libqtm-11-declarative

Give that a go and let me know if it fails.

You might want to try uninstalling previous version first and then install from devel...(worked for me)

had the same error about not having the dependencies libqtm-11-declarative and some other package.. am trying to intall both via xterm now (apt-get install libqtm-11-declarative)... seems the libqtm package has a lot of dependencies also - almost 4MB worth. repository.maemo.org seems to be sluggish for me for a while now (am in Africa region RX-51). Will update later if it does work out.
Lemme add though that I only started having this problem while trying to reinstall twimgo after i reflashed my emmc a few days ago. the first time was as smooth as a lazy brook. same problem am having with installing chromium

ok. installed the libqtm package and it now asks for the second package "mcsp". Am installing with "apt-get install mcsp".....

I had the same problem with twimgo and nelisquare after the last update. Just a white screen appeared.
solved the problem today this way:
sudo gainroot
apt-get install libqtm-11

(i think the root cause was that on my N900 there was already libqtm-12 installed but twimgo 2.8.6 requires the older libqtm-11 package)

or you can change all references to QtMobility 1.1 to 1.2 in qml & bin file. I did this and TwimGo works fine with QtMobility 1.2

This worked for me and Twimgo is running again. However, it did not work in the first place. Terminal complained about not being able to find the dependencies, or similar.

I tried to install libqtm-11 with extras-devel deactivated (did not work properly), so I uninstalled all, even libqtm-11 (although the message was, that it was not installed), downloaded twimgo from maemo-site (twimgo_2.8.6_armel.deb), installed with dpgk, re-activated extras-devel, installed libqtm-11 as indicated above (which all of a sudden worked), and now it is all back to normal....I don't understand, but I'm happy :-)

I have seen quite a few people throughout this thread getting this message and I am now finding I am stuck with it too after upgrading to latest version. Anyone got any clues? Username and password work fine when logging into twitter from desktop machine. Have tried revoking access for Twimgo via twitter in hopes it would reauthenticate but still get the same error!

If anyone could shed some light on this I would really appreciate it.

THANK YOU, dekor... this was driving me nuts, because I was sure the password and login were correct. Just to make it more clear: not only the date and time must be correct (mine were), but also you must be in the correct timezone! I am in Brazil, but when I changed my SIM card it set my timezone automatically to Portugal and I didn´t notice. After correcting it, the Twitter API 401 message stopped.

were you able to tell what the changes were? the only thing i noticed was the sound notification option in settings.

I enabled Extras-devel and then updated TwimGo to version 2.9.0 without a problem.

The only noted change is the addition of Sound notification being optional, although the lists icon appears to have changed.

Anybody know why the opening screen has changed from a nice blue to a not so nice bright red? I assume that is something the developer has changed recenlty and not just my phone playing up?
