Mods to built in media player
 
Are there any ways to mod the media player?
The only thing I'm interesting in doing is to make the volume rocker change the song and the camera button to play/pause when the phone is locked.

What would be nice is if someone could hack in the ''share'' option from the file browser into the media player..

I have about 4000 songs, and it pisses me off that I always have to start at the first listing in alphabetical order... There should be an option, like in portrait address book, on the side, there are the letters of the alphabet and you can touch "T" for exemple to start viewing the songs starting with T.

Yes I know you can search songs (and is a very useful search engine) but sometimes im not looking for a particular song and just wanna browse around, but not all the times at the same area (the beginning of alphabetical order)...not sure if im making myself clear, lol

I just reread qwerty12's rant, what a character.

Anyway, if you're a serious Maemo 5 GTK dev and you feel like hacking closed source Nokia apps like mediaplayer, I'll dump some notes here.

I and many others who have like 1000+ songs, can use a simple mod/script that when yo hit the back key it doesn't scroll automatically to top again!

I wish there was a mod that whenever you hit back key in media player it goes back where it was previously scrolled NOT to top again.
