As a workaround if you are stuck and must update, you can edit the extras repo and change the URL from repository.maemo.org to stage.maemo.org - but please change it back once the normal repo is fixed.

PATIENCE is a valuable virtue guys. So please don't get all panicky, be calm and listen to some slow music or go out with friends or something :)

That worked great. got my Apps back on my N900. What is the difference between stage.maemo.org and repository.maemo.org? are they both the same builds?

I think maybe repository is on the CDN and stage is not (maybe stage is the source from which CDN is populated?)

AFAIK contents of both should be the same so stage is a good one to keep disabled as emergency backup in case main repo ever breaks again (as it has in the past)

Because it's only a temporary issue, not exactly a deal breaker at all either, just a minor inconvenience that can be worked around with dpkg as desired. (or stage as mentioned above) : )

That's exactly what I did, just disabled it and kept it as a last solution.

Looks like there was some problem on the server side and the cache network
cached the broken page. I am flushing the cache now, that should fix it.

I'm getting the exact same problem. Maemo.org isn't able to refresh, but extras-testing and extras-devel are working just fine... How do we vote on the bug report?

This is my clumsy method...
