will different voltages influence the OCing ability? because when I'm using ulv xlv and Ideal at 900mhz my N900 reboots. I want to push it to 1ghz is it possible on my N900?

What do you think would work best?

tests have showed that a minimum limit of 125 drain more battery than it should
i personally recommend the ideal profile for you and set the limits to what suits you
saves alot of power and gives you that extra power when you need it
try it
then tell me what you think of it

try using either higher or lower frequencies to see if it reboots still
some frequencies just dont get along with the n900

as for the voltages we dont know anything about the long term effects
but for the short terms we havnt seen any complains

You could use "osso-xterm -e /path/to/script.sh" but you would need a loop or something so it wait for input or else it will close. It will close after it has finished executing the command.

Btw did you update the script yet? if so which one is it? 1.2?

Also you didn't underrstand my question it seems. When I load A the frequency is 250 600 BUT what is the voltage used for this default seting? Is it ideal voltages or the voltage setting Nokia uses as stock?

You have a pretty good chart in the wiki... http://wiki.maemo.org/Overclocking#K...specifications

I've been running the ideal profile with 250 and 900 limits for a few days now and it's working great! Thanks again for your help!

Re: [ANNOUNCED] Extremely easy Overclock Script -updated

its not the fault of the OC itself
it actully happen even when your phone is at stock
what happens is that your N900 goes to min. of 125Mhz
after a phone call
so what you should do is reset the limits after every phone call

i found 0 improvment in the pr1.3
not even one bug i have is fixed :@

I get the same problem, it downloads the package then before you get time to read what the problem is.....it just shutsdown. I even waited for a while assuming it would be rebooting itself but it doesnt.
I guess we are better off just overclocking the original way

Re: [ANNOUNCED] Extremely easy Overclock Script -updated

Hi everyone,
I am total ignorant in linux and maemo so I cannot figure out how to help myself out of trouble ever since I started toying with N900.
Without this community N900 would have been just continuos troublesome to me: useragent for internet, for MMS, Japanese input, dictionaries... Thank you for all your hardwork to make N900 the best mobile computer phone ever (so far) with your clever scripts, addons, apps, ...
I am very impressed with titan kernel and the possibility of overclocking the N900, and want to OC it very much. This is my third time reinstalling and removing the power kernel (now the power46 kernel).
Maybe you linux expert may not think the following sympthoms on my N900 as bugs or incorrectifiable problems, but to me, I have to wait untill those problems are mended, before I touch the tempted power kernel again:
- Old-damaged cassette tape sound effect on SOME phone calls: the effect make it impossible to hear the other end's voice, end call to recall or wait for the other end to call again will USUALLY make the deffect disappear.
- Slide open camera does not make camera apps activated, just crash it to the desktop with a yellow bar of "operation failed" notification. This ALWAYS happens eversince I install power kernel setting, regardless I overclock or not, run at default voltage or at less voltage. I am not able to take any photo since power46 kernel installed (the previous power kernel did not cause problem to camera). Both builtin camera app and BlessN900 crash to desktop with same "Operation failed" message, even after reboot or shutdown an poweron.
- My N900 (maby not made with good chips as it is Korean made) restarts itself when running high resource demanding apps while having the power kernel config limits to 500 850 or above. Those apps include app manager, some games, some emulator like DrSNES.
- My N900 does not reboot correctly: press reboot and it shuts down, Press power on and it turns the Nokia Welcome screen on then it turns off again. This may happens several times before it turns on properly.
- When I tried to apt-get reinstall power kernel and remove power kernel, my N900 got into reboot loops and can only be rectify by reflashing the firmware with fiasco image.
- Somebody ask me to make a system log so they can identify what cause the problems. To me, trying to learn to follow instructions on this forum is much easier than learning to make a system log. Can't anybody comes up with a simple solution for a dummy to make a Maemo system log?
Thank you.
