i have the n900 maemo5 O.S. but am now bored so was wanderin of dual booting with android but want the safest way possible to do it, and how many other O.S. are there for N900 i heard theres a Windows98 aswell

You can use the following auto installer that will download and install the latest nitdroid and multiboot. Please note that SanDisk Memory sticks dont currently work with auto install.

I believe you can tri boot but I think it entails some modifications of the mulitboot configuration in the rootfs (this is where is gets dangerous, you could potentially end up needing a complete reflash if that goes wrong)

You can't boot Windows 98. It's coded for a different cpu, but you can run it inside emulator.

the partioning bit is confusing will it format full memory card then part it

yup, it will erase everything on the flashcard.

microsd and will also install bootloader into main memory.

so the 32gb is not affected just the removable memory card(micro SD)

You can run Win95 under DOSbox on N900. I don't think you can do 98.

Also, you can run Ubuntu. Have a search around on these forums - all the info you need is here.
