Re: [Announce] BackupMenu V2 - OS backup & restore
I just found your old topic at http://talk.maemo.org/showpost.php?p=754837&postcount=1 and found this:

When i can get some free time, i'll try again. Edit: And found it! Busybox-advanced package causes conflict with backupmenu! This package is the part of this repository. |
Re: [Announce] BackupMenu V2 - OS backup & restore
Extracted the above tarball, confirmed files are being place properly and rebooted.
bootmenu STILL shows the stock/default boot menu options for internal partition or power off. This is really baffling me. |
Re: [Announce] BackupMenu V2 - OS backup & restore
@Necc:
I really should start on some proper documentation one of these days. ----- I'm betting that busybox addon ends up adding a few extra required libraries, which it can't find inside the chroot and crashes, dropping back to the old bootloader. |
Re: [Announce] BackupMenu V2 - OS backup & restore
To add to the confusion, I do not have busybox addons installed.

Re: [Announce] BackupMenu V2 - OS backup & restore
busybox-advanced uses extra libs, which is why it won't work. I'm going to add it as a conflict in the next version - It doesn't look good enough to develop a workaround for(I just installed it, and couldn't install power-kernel with it installed). Plus, the gnu-tools are better anyway.
Hawaii, can I have a list of your installed packages? Perhaps also give me the output of "cd /bin & ldd busybox" also? Thanks. |

Re: [Announce] BackupMenu V2 - OS backup & restore
Hm... try removing "rescue-boot"? I'm not sure why it'd conflict, but it's all I can think of.

Re: [Announce] BackupMenu V2 - OS backup & restore
I've had it co-existing with every previous BackupMenu installation :\

Re: [Announce] BackupMenu V2 - OS backup & restore
Well, erm, I'm not sure. I can't think of anything.

Removed, purged, rebooted. Same issue.
