I think he means MohammadAG's pulseaudio fix and swappolube installed on his n900. that means that package plus Ur scipt will not work together. As U said it'll end up with reboot loop.

And letīs go back to first message of this thread:

"Risks: You no longer risk blowing the n900 speakers or volume control problems. You should uninstall swappolube before using this, as this file uses a modded version of the swappolube tweaks. Do not, apply this patch while your media player is open."

So ball is on user side and whatever happens with mixture of different tweak apps is IMO users own delight or misery.

And to SavageD,
You might consider your word choice in first message :) Now it looks like advertisement for windows registry tweaker. Iīm not saying that it doesnīt help, but maybe something like "It tries to make n900 more responsive and faster" might be better approach. Your mileage may wary etc. kind of vague text is better IMO.

Re: Boost N900! :)

I've got a teory 'bout N900. It seems like each 1 has its one mind. Each one is bit different. Every time i speak 2 another user we got different ways of how tablets react to mods, tweaks and how do they handle additional soft.
My 4 ex is Oc to 900 MHz and there is no way to push it harder. Same with the power kernel settings. it works only on LV other ones make it reboot straighaway.
Same with SavageD's patch. It works fine, I mean really fine, but theres no effect on battery life whtsoever. Anything I try fails. my battery holds juice max for 1.5 day. No wigets, no bluetooth, no apps working in background, brand new battery. But as a mp3 quality imrovement I recomend this MOD to every1.
so thx SavageD.

"it has a mind of its own" only because every user has different mods and tweaks(Even apps) installed causing the n900 to behave/preform differently. if everyone ran stock maemo on their n900 and used this patch, everybody would feel the same effects, but that is not the case. Some have theirs overclocked, some don't. Some have battery draining widgets/apps while others don't. It comes down to whats installed with it, and what isn't.

As we've seen in the overclocking thread, every processor is different and will react differently under certain strains.
Some peoples N900 cant get past 800 LV others run 1150 ideal.
It is not just down to your software configuration unfortunately.

Nokia should hire people like SavageD and MohammadAG etc to improve the performance and fix the bugs of their device. Seriously...

What he means is wherever you extracted your "BoostN900" folder, you need to go into that directory. If you put it in NokiaN900, type sudo gainroot in terminal-->make sure you have rootsh installed. After type cd BoostN900 followed by sh MakeBackups.sh and sh BoostN900.sh

It's pretty simple.

First Make sure you have "Enable Root" checked within filebox options....

Using Filebox, Navigate to the BoostN900 folder.

Select "Open terminal here"

Next run MakeBackups.sh file once using sh MakeBackups.sh

Next run BoostN900.sh Using sh BoostN900.sh

After the patch is finished executing, restart the n900 and thats it.
