Can you upload the biggest/loudest sound possible through loud speaker patch? I don't care if the speakers exploded :p

Honestly I can't tell anymore as I only have one speaker thats working on my device.

It's not suppose to make the speakers louder, on the other hand it's not suppose to sound lower either because I specifically touched nothing relating to the speakers.

If anyone else thinks the speakers sound lower plz let me know, as I can't really test the speakers myself. l have only one speaker working.

I would not make those speakers louder, cause it' too dangerous...

i've got eror while running TuneN900.sh. Says missing line 5. I noticed that theres no TuneN900 folder in the package. Do I need 2 copy one from older version?

I just installed your new patch and my N900 just rebooted itself out of nowhere.

Re: Boost N900! :)

same here it rebooted like a minute after installing the lastest patch, but i needed a reboot anyways .. nothing so far afterwards. so do we have to use the tunen900.sh manually? i tryed and i got the mssing line 5.. aswell

OMG!!! o.o

Do not run TuneN900.sh

Did you guys not read my instructions....Did I ever say to run TuneN900.sh? Do not run that script.

Leaved that script ALONE!!! There's a reason why it's in the patches folder. If you want to use my script run only BoostN900.sh. TuneN900 would the be run automatically at start up. It is why I say to restart after applying BoostN900.sh

Don't come complaining about restarts if you did not follow instructions.

:) u can make it without .sh extnsn, so nobody will try to run it, and in da boost script mv it to event.d with proper extensn.

Can I ask whether the files in the first post are the most updated version because I notice during the thread there are various new files uploaded.

If not could I suggest you edit the first post to have the most up to date version as it is difficult having to go through the whole thread looking for the last version. Also I suggest you edit the instructions to say at the beginning that you should uninstall swappolube before running script. I followed your instructions ran the patch and got to the end of the instructions and found that I should have uninstalled swappolube first.

after i install pr1.3 and swappolube, i feel no more laggy message tone .

So any alternative to make it compatible with swappolube?

or any side effect after the tweak?

they should be the most up to date. if you look at the top of his first post he usually updates the date when he uploads the new version.

Re: Boost N900! :)

I ran the scrip properly and i also have reboot issues; with the add that the vibration of the touch screen doesn't work, and the general perfomance of the n900 is affected; also I can't record audio in videos, and many things like that. I run the scrip a couple of times (of course after run "RestoreDefaults or restore.sh i dont remember the name now...) and i have the same issues again. Sometimes the n900 doesn't reboot, and the touch screen stop it vibration suddenly.

Leaving the things above, the patch makes my n900 so much faster and the audio is much better

Hi, long time without posting anything. I was curious about this patch, so I tried, and I most say that this is a really big advance for the N900, SavageD you rock!:)

So months ago, I was working on something similar but your patch is much better than mine.

I installed it yesterday, but I had just reflash my N900 to vanilla state, so I installed on the stock kernel, and I want to install the kernel power from TITAN, and I want to ask, if I install the kernel then I have to reinstall this patch from SavageD again?

No, I think this is no necessary, but reinstall such things after krnl upd is more kosher way.

This does same things as swappolube, but in my case better.
If u install this u can forget about swappolube forever...
Test it, than wright here bout any "side effects" u find)

i dont think its the script. i had some apps before this script ive installed that randomly rebooted my system. i think its either an issue with the package or the phone just cuts out (im not really sure haha) but im sure its not the script. if you want(or have the time) try removing the script then uninstalling the apps then try reinstalling the apps and see if does the same. then try running the script then uninstalling the apps then reinstalling them and see what happens. if thats confusing im sorry im super tired haha.

It's either the overclocked kernel I'm running on or the script. I restore the defaults and left it at the stock kernel. It installed perfectly fine.

EDIT:

HELP! I accidentally overwritten my Restore folder....... What can I do now?

The Restore folder that was already in the folder when you first downloaded should work fine. Using Restoredefaults.sh is simply an extra precaution.

So re-downloading the script and using that Restore folder should work fine. Or re-flash...

It was Sygic10.

Hey SavageD,

Can you upload your restore folder? I accidentally overwrote mine.

Another thing.. When I restart my N900, sometimes there is sound and other times there isn't. Am I doing something wrong?

No your not...are you by any chance using power kernel?

Re-download the script and use the Restore folder in there.

Hi.

Could you do some kind of merge between this patch and swappolube settings to get the best of both??

There are no problems using this with Titan's kernel(s).

My patch does not contain any of MohammadAG's fixes, in fact I think It might conflict with em...dunno haven't checked.

I don't know what would happen if you have the two installed, possibly you'll have a reboot loop. My patch uses a slightly Modified version of swappolube, which would conflict with each other at every boot up.

I guess at this point I would try to join up with the person that created swappolube GUI. :) as I'm too lazy to create one myself ;-)

I think he means MohammadAG's pulseaudio fix and swappolube installed on his n900. that means that package plus Ur scipt will not work together. As U said it'll end up with reboot loop.

And letīs go back to first message of this thread:

"Risks: You no longer risk blowing the n900 speakers or volume control problems. You should uninstall swappolube before using this, as this file uses a modded version of the swappolube tweaks. Do not, apply this patch while your media player is open."

So ball is on user side and whatever happens with mixture of different tweak apps is IMO users own delight or misery.

And to SavageD,
You might consider your word choice in first message :) Now it looks like advertisement for windows registry tweaker. Iīm not saying that it doesnīt help, but maybe something like "It tries to make n900 more responsive and faster" might be better approach. Your mileage may wary etc. kind of vague text is better IMO.

Re: Boost N900! :)

I've got a teory 'bout N900. It seems like each 1 has its one mind. Each one is bit different. Every time i speak 2 another user we got different ways of how tablets react to mods, tweaks and how do they handle additional soft.
My 4 ex is Oc to 900 MHz and there is no way to push it harder. Same with the power kernel settings. it works only on LV other ones make it reboot straighaway.
Same with SavageD's patch. It works fine, I mean really fine, but theres no effect on battery life whtsoever. Anything I try fails. my battery holds juice max for 1.5 day. No wigets, no bluetooth, no apps working in background, brand new battery. But as a mp3 quality imrovement I recomend this MOD to every1.
so thx SavageD.

"it has a mind of its own" only because every user has different mods and tweaks(Even apps) installed causing the n900 to behave/preform differently. if everyone ran stock maemo on their n900 and used this patch, everybody would feel the same effects, but that is not the case. Some have theirs overclocked, some don't. Some have battery draining widgets/apps while others don't. It comes down to whats installed with it, and what isn't.

As we've seen in the overclocking thread, every processor is different and will react differently under certain strains.
Some peoples N900 cant get past 800 LV others run 1150 ideal.
It is not just down to your software configuration unfortunately.

What he means is wherever you extracted your "BoostN900" folder, you need to go into that directory. If you put it in NokiaN900, type sudo gainroot in terminal-->make sure you have rootsh installed. After type cd BoostN900 followed by sh MakeBackups.sh and sh BoostN900.sh

It's pretty simple.

First Make sure you have "Enable Root" checked within filebox options....

Using Filebox, Navigate to the BoostN900 folder.

Select "Open terminal here"

Next run MakeBackups.sh file once using sh MakeBackups.sh

Next run BoostN900.sh Using sh BoostN900.sh

After the patch is finished executing, restart the n900 and thats it.
