Re: [Updated May 23] Conky 1.9.7 n900 edition
copy conky.conf to your MyDocs folder (/home/user/MyDocs/)
edit it: replace ${battery_short} with ${execi 10 hal-device bme |awk -F"[. ]" '$5 == "is_charging" {chrg = $7}; $5 == "percentage" {perc = $7} END if (chrg == "false") {print perc "%"} else {print "Chg"}'} enjoy your decreased battery life and non-updating percentage. |
Re: [Updated May 23] Conky 1.9.7 n900 edition
thank you Creamy :)
it works:) thank you so much but why did u say "enjoy your decreased battery life and non-updating percentage" what does this means? is this command not good? please can u explain me?:) |
Re: [Updated May 23] Conky 1.9.7 n900 edition
maybe you should check... with conky
|
Re: [Updated May 23] Conky 1.9.7 n900 edition
but battery life have not decreased , percentage is always updated :)
so where's the problem? :D |
Re: [Updated May 23] Conky 1.9.7 n900 edition
just focus on the cpu usage of Conky. it should use extra every 10 seconds as it opens a command prompt to check the battery level. try with and without that change.

Re: [Updated May 23] Conky 1.9.7 n900 edition
just installed it. i prefer this accurate battery and temperature reading than the previous .conf that I was using.
It's currently running at a consistent 8-10%CPU and 2+% of memory.... so that's quite a lot of running CPU.. but I'll see how it is throughout the day |
Re: [Updated May 23] Conky 1.9.7 n900 edition
how hard is it to test before and after making the change?

Re: [Updated May 23] Conky 1.9.7 n900 edition
I recently tried to get this working on the N9 / N950 but am now stuck because it seems impossible to get double buffering to work as the "dbe" module is missing from X11. I think we will find a solution but cannot guarantee it. Flickering conky is still better than no conky, so if anyone wants to try it, here's a link: http://www.appcheck.net/storage/headache.zip
DONT install that on an n900, it's got enough changes made to it that it won't work. DO dpkg -i all 3 debs from the command line, conky last, and if it has any other missing stuff you can probably apt-get install them. |
Re: [Updated May 23] Conky 1.9.7 n900 edition
Hi!
I need help. I just updated my kernel to version 48 and my conky doesn't show the battery temperature anymore. What can I do? Thanks. |

if you can't find the answer we are happy to help, but it's a pretty common problem. try searching with google if the forum search isn't helping. |

First of all, You're banging on half-a-year old thread without any reason.
As for Your question - because we do not like to breed laziness ;) LMGTFY, or what? |
Re: [Updated May 23] Conky 1.9.7 n900 edition
Please help me. Conky starts to show -1% battery with bq27x00_battery module loaded. With BME %% showing okay but lower. What can i do?
Old backup restored by backupmenu but conky still showing -1% battery. |

I can read the uevent file. But since /bq27200-0/ is hardcoded (see first post), what can one do to get conky to read from rx51-battery? |
Re: [NEW] Conky 1.8.5 n900 edition
Nobody? Ok...i've created a Queen Beecon Widget to display the battery temperature. Here's the command line for it:
Code:
awk 'BEGIN { FS="=" } /POWER_SUPPLY_TEMP/ { print $2/10 "°C"; if ($2 < 350) exit 0; else if ($2 <400) exit 1; else exit 2 }' /sys/class/power_supply/rx51-battery/uevent |

Also, using USB Mode, after switching to "USB host mode (with boost)", which "stops BME", conky will read display some temperature, which also seems to have tenths of a degree Celsius (unlike in the uevent file); I have not applied any conky update of yours yet. Would you know how/why? |

Theoretizations in practice - it just meant that someone may do those changes I've described in practice. No, I haven't had to extract Conky's source code and look for it. |
