Ohmd eating Battery

1 Attachment(s)
Hi Guys,

since a few weeks ago I have a problem with ohmd eating a lot of CPU and my battery draining much faster.
Ohmd usually leads the CPU-time statistics even before hildon-desktop or Xorg.
Over night I switch the phone to offline mode and the battery drain would normally be very shallow, usually less than 10% but now it's more like 30-40%.
After killing ohmd the battery drain lessened but that is mostly shortlived.
What could cause ohmd to go whacko like that?

for me it was the flashlight add-on...once removed, ohmd was nowhere in sight. :-)

I had that installed but removed it a few weeks ago already.

Do you use a case with magnetic flip?

Yes I do and have used it since day 1.
At night it's not in the case though. It's sitting on my sideboard.

Well, try to open back-cover at night and put it w/out case and see that happens that night.

Just to be sure that it is not de-magnetizing issue.

OK, I'll try that.

I had the back cover open over night but that didn't make a difference. Ohmd still ate about seven minutes of CPU time in 8 hours.

Re: Ohmd eating Battery

I finally decided to reflash and the problem is gone.
After one whole day of uptime ohmd only used 12 seconds of cpu.

I'd still be interested to know what went wrong.
