PR1.3 - Media player widget - is it me?
 

Is it just me, or has the play button on the media player widget stopped working with PR1.3?

It worked quite cheerfully before Monday, but now, although it'll pause and change track OK, I have to resume playing from the full media player.

If it is because of PR1.3, then it's either a new bug or an existing one which has become more widespread with PR1.3.

Mine is working fine after the 1.3 update...I did have that issue show up once or twice in PR 1.2. You may have already tried this, but just deleted the widget and then re-added it onto my desktop to get it working again.

I had to remove it from the desktop and add it again to get it working like before. So i can confirm what Sphinx780 says.

removing and re-adding the widget has been the fix since pr1.0 !!!!
but it always stops working after a few hours then it needs to be re-added again,
it works fine for me on pr1.2 but not when i have matan's modified hildon desktop installed, and as i use 8 homescreens it obviously does'nt work for me so i dont use it.
fixing this would be the only reason for me to upgrade to pr1.3 so ill be staying with pr1.2
the mediabox widget always works but the mediabox app needs to be open

I had this same problem, still couldn't find a real solution... will keep investigating.

i have same problem, can skip and pause but when pressing paly the whole media centre opens

I can confirm that removing and then re-adding the media player widget fixes this issue, at least temporarily. It has for me today.

If it occurs again then just remove and readd.

My media player widget didn't work at all on pr1.2 and now it works on pr1.3!!! I am thrilled!

In unrelated news: The bug about tv out still exists for me. A way around the issue of device recorded videos not playing is to switch tv out to pal, even if you are in an NTSC with an NTSC tv. That enabled me to play my widescreen n900 recordings. Method 2: Keep it set to NTSC but record videos ONLY in the square format. Strangly, videos in high res square (for lack of spec term) play via tv out without changing settings.
I've had that issue since PR1.2.

No change in behavior here. Works most of the time, occasionally needs to be removed and re-added.
