Re: n8 less expensive than n900 when it 1st came out
N8 is a mass market device, the N900 wasn't. If you plan to sell more devices, you can make them cheaper.
N8 runs Symbian, which is less ressource-hungry than Maemo. They can safely use "last years technology" for many parts and still get a good performance. The N900 needed to be up to date when it was introduced. |
Re: n8 less expensive than n900 when it 1st came out
Which is better ARM 11 680 mhz or N900's ARM Cortex A 8 600 mhz?

most definitely Cortex A8. It's a significant upgrade from the ARM11s.

Re: n8 less expensive than n900 when it 1st came out
i just got the n8 yesterday and swappin it for the iphone4 as my second phone. after having the n900 for over a year i have to say that playin around with a symbian device is painful and disappointing. i couldnt even look past the poor display on the n8 without feelin sick. the only positives i found was the ovi store ui which i felt was a huge improvement, and the graphics processor. nothin touches the n900 in my opinion. the iphone will probably be sold or jailbroken at some point lol

Re: n8 less expensive than n900 when it 1st came out
If we combine both Processor + GPU of N8 and N900 ,which will provide better all round performance?

Re: n8 less expensive than n900 when it 1st came out
i have Qs hope to get an answer plz:
-Why Nokia produced N900 if they cant supported 100%? -whats the use of Maemo if nokia not making major up-dates in their firmwares? - Why many announcement & applications are not their ( Ovi & Maemo Select ) while other competitors planned for their handsets before releasing them. <<< Why N900 is there????>>> |
