N900 PR1.3 battery problem

so i updated my n900 from pr1.2 to pr1.3 the other day. my battery used to last around a full day even two with a lot of internet usage, but now with pr1.3 it doesnt even last a few hours in standyby mode, and it just about lasts the night while its turned off!!
is there a way to fix this and is there anyone else experiencing this??

no one can say anything. your question is like "I tapped a screen and something happened. what can I do?"

you could start with posting a list of installed apps.

for example in terminal:
Code:

dpkg -l > /home/user/MyDocs/.documents/installed_apps.txt
and upload installed_apps.txt from internal storage -> documents -path to here for example...

Re: N900 PR1.3 battery problem

I'm not completely sure, but after the PR1.3 I think also my battery drains quicker than before. I am undervolting with the lv profile (the others doesn't seem to work on my device, it reboots). Still, the battery is eaten when I get home from work every day. Before it lasted at least a complete day, and sometimes even longer, I was happy with that.
There are some things I have discovered by time though:

Having either a weak 3g signal or wifi signal really drains battery like a monster. It is sometimes better to switch off wifi if the signal is weak.

Leaving the GPS on drains battery.

Now I am constantly at around 11-12 % of cpu in top. Maybe it's all the daemons I keep running, the hi-score-ones are:

Xorg (of course, would be nice to know what it is while no graphics activity, like top in terminal)
ohmd (what is that)
hildon-status-menu
hildon-desktop

Maybe reducing the desktop widgets can be a good thing also.

Someone else got any tips?

Simple answer is to re-flash.
Nokia's awesome software has screwed up your update.

ohmd might be the one to look at:

I generally try to run top ssh:ing to my N900 with screen off to observe cpu usage in idle. Possibly using usb-net instead of wireless might be even better.

Try a reflash, my battery life has improved drastically since 1.3 and so has a lot of other peoples.

My battery life got much worse since PR1.3.
Attached the txt file with the apps here. (Had to zip it cause of the .txt file size limit)
