It was white bread on bottom, strawberry filling, then chocolate bread on top. a franken-cake if you will!

You should submit that as a non-wreck to Cakewrecks. It should be included as a Sunday Sweet. If your wife is not a professional baker, make sure you point that out.... beautiful cakes are even more impressive when they're by "amateurs." :)

yes, she took a cake decorating class at a local craft store (4 sessions of 2 hours each) and that's it. no professional here!
