Thanks. Don't worry, I am not too hopeful ;) . I really would not be surprised if it is nowhere near the 2250mAh, it would be interesting to see how they could possibly get that sort of energy level in the same physical space.

Only way is if they adopt newer tech. but then i would expect a price of minimum 50$ a battery.

But we will know soon enough, everybody just wait to buy, no need to throw money out the window.

This guide also applies to other phones then nokia n900 etc....
We know now that Scud, Polarcell, Japod are really good brands.

Scud is the best, not only for the capacity but also the price!!!!, they are cheaper then both Polarcell & Japod......

And again, for the price of 1 Mugen 2400mAh battery you can buy:
1x Mugen cover and 10x Scud battery's to make 5x 3000mAh battery's!!!!!!!

Just a thing on Scud price, if you order a hole lot (1000) then the price is only 3.58$ a battery!!!, thats almost the price of the crappy DX battery with only 320mAh

Personally I don't think that the Scud battery will be that good!

Look here: http://www.aliexpress.com/product-fm...olesalers.html

Edit: I didn't read the whole thread especially page #2 where it is told that Nokia-5800-XL doesn't fit into N900 battery bay. I'm also wondering that there are +90 or something batteries for BL-5J at aliexpress. Thanks for picking the Scud!

First of all the scud is that good it is tested!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

In post #3 i have a Q&A which i have put the 5800XL battery as the first Q&A. It will not fit because of the pins location, normal size will fit in both 5800 & N900, but the XL battery's will not.
You have not read anything in this thread because we have been over this several times

Yes as written in post #1 under the scud, the BLUE one's are the good one's, the GREEN are cheaper versions.

how does the mod battery deal with heat? Since my normal original battery heats up quite a lot since its over clocked so two batteries overheating is worse than one

a question for people who have bought the scuds: just to be clear, will a SINGLE scud battery fit under the stock N900 battery cover (with NO physical modifications)?

also sorry for the noob question but how much more battery life are we expecting from the scuds vs the stock N900 battery? i don't know how to do mAh conversions..

A higher capacity will be drained less, and less heat will be generated, this is something i can CONFIRM with my EV's.
So a single scud will generate less heat then a stock 1320mAh

My dual scud has no heat at all, well nothing that can really be felt.

Yes i will say that a battery can be up to 0.5mm thicker than stock.
The Dual japod i made, you could fit 1mm between the battery and mugen cover
Try to press (not to hard) on the center of the back battery cover, you could probably compress the cover 0.5mm until it touches the battery

EDIT: The scud will have about 15% more life, so this will help, look back some posts, where 'stlpaul' talks about the difference the the japod did, and it only has 1370mAh, the scud has an impressive 1510mAh

A SINGLE SCUD fits into an n900 with the original cover perfectly fine. The SCUD id only around 0.1-0.2mm fatter.

You can consider the SCUD a drop in replacement for the original.
