If you have various wire laying around like me, try some different to see what fits best

Remember if you solder the wire it will get a little bit thicker.

I received 2 extra scuds today, and will in the next days make the dual simple mod.

Hi all,

I would also like to us cantruchd's method for my scud batteries.

Can someone tell me what solder wire or wire to use ? Is there a specific type ? Or as long as its width 1mm its ok ? I will use the Nokia 1200 mAH charger for charging - does this mean I need some specific type of solder/wire to use ?
as long as you charge using usb port then any kind of wire is ok
Also, do you just bend the wire into the following U shape

____
|____

and just fit it into the terminals of the 2 batteries ? You do not need any hot soldering or adhesive ?
- yes it is and no hot soldering require, you need adhesive to keep the battery together and that's all
Apologies but all I see is a photo and just wanted to be sure there is not a step I am missing.

-pls see my previous post on page 46-48 for more details, there are also 3 pictures in that post

Recently received three blue 1420mAh scud batteries from aliexpress. Battery.reporting.design shows all of them ~ 1250 on 1st load into phone. how reliable is battery.reporting.design?

Thanks

Re: Battery Tests, Homemade 3000mAh XL Battery & Q&A

battery.reporting.design is determined by the resistance between gnd and bsi (third pin on battery). In other words, 1250 means they put same size resistor in there as Nokia did.

It's a fairly reliably resistance meter, but says absolutely nothing about a battery's capacity.

Yup, I've been doing that. I use "3G only" for when Im using 3g internet and GSM mode for everything else. Never dual. It really helps decrease battery drain imo.

Hello again, I am still waiting for my scud battery here in Europe. Sadly there is no tracking past Hong Kong, but I thought that it would take less then 7 days to deliver. (Shipped on 6th of april)

Can anyone in europe or holland tell me how long it took to get a scud battery shipped? I am a little worried by now. Thanks in advance.

(do hope they leave a note if i'm not at home and then bring it to the neighbours/postal office)

Relax.
They sent me from Hong Kong on March 8th, I got them home (Italy, still part of EU at least today) on April 6th :D.
