Re: Battery Tests, Homemade 3000mAh XL Battery & Q&A (GOTO POST #1!!!!!)
could you implement this notify for led and not error mode?

you can make your own pattern and edit the QBW script to something else then "PatternError" and then use the pattern editor to have it like you want, do a search in the forum, there are some threads about the led pattern system.

1 Attachment(s)
I found a usage for the nice SCUD boxes, it really is a good battery, comes in such a nice box for usage in other contexts, and a nice bag for the battery
Attachment 19879 Have glued them on the shelf, now they work as small drawers for SMD leds etc. and they prevent stuff falling out :D |

How do you explain that battery meter widget has different values between a few minutes? Sometimes even over 10%.

Re: Battery Tests, Homemade 3000mAh XL Battery & Q&A (GOTO POST #1!!!!!)
Ive had my scud now for a few weeks and its just awesome. with just a single scud I can moderatey use my phone and get home at the end of the work day with 20-at times 50% power left.
now why couldnt Nokia have provided a battery like this with the device? Quote:

Do you plan to update it?
I' m awaiting too for the scud batteries to come :) |
Re: Battery Tests, Homemade 3000mAh XL Battery & Q&A (GOTO POST #1!!!!!)
Maybe ill update it at some point.
The code is not very advanced so anybody can make it save 3 or more points to a file and make and average sum -------------------------------------------- Off topic: I was wondering if we should make a buyer beware for EBAY and other shops, i would have added one more battery, but the seller canceled the order because he was afraid about getting more NEGATIVE feedback because he is selling fake items, have bought a "genuine" complete cover for the N900, and it if far from genuine, really crappy toy feeling plastic. The Seller is 'raajjshop' This would be a general Buyer beware (covers, accessory's) i will still handle the battery section We have all gotten some "genuine" crap over the years |
Re: Battery Tests, Homemade 3000mAh XL Battery & Q&A (GOTO POST #1!!!!!)
I'm really with You on this one - i think we should get different topic to list buyer's beware about N900 stuff, or at least one in first 3 posts.
Anyway, i know that there is "Thank" button, but i could not thank you enough for this topic and Your all hard work (hard also means hardware in this case :D ). I'm now got a little hard time financially wise, but after dealing with that I'm definitely going to donate - guy like you who spent so much money and time on buying and testing stuff (and reporting it here for all of us benefit) certainly deserves that. Thank to Your topic, I just ordered mugen backcover and 2x scud :) Can't wait to do modding, i also got some ideas how to use rest of spare space in case (to glue few microSD mounting points = additional unused microSD cards inside big cover). BTW, some pages earlier you mentioned, that one can charge battery to 100% using modified external charger. I know that 2% isn't anything that really matter in real life, but i would like to try it - can you post what modification should we do? I got no serious experience with Li-Ion chargers - just starting to dig into it, and as far as i know this stuff monitor voltage and cut power off when hard-set limit is reached + got timer limit. How can we modify hard-set voltage limit? Some resistor trick? Of course i mean normal li-Ion chargers, not special things for RC models, which i presume don't need modding at all. Also, last question, what is in Your opinion best "professional" charger to experiment with 3.7 batteries, by terms of price/quality factor? |
