SAP never had the solid connections i have though and he couldn't pin down the exact day of the upcoming software release for the nokia n800... u and him have that in common.

I totally lucked out with this info but... then enter Texrat and his snide remarks... #1 Texrat is emotionally unstable... this is fine but... when you add his arrogance to the mix and with it him attacking all the newbies with his snide remarks... plus add the fact that he thinks he is a "somebody" on here and posts like he is a "god" WHILE all along never giving any real info (he just gives vague info and claims he can't give anymore due to "confidentially").. He is a phoney and he is just too irresistable of a target to exploit cuz he can't be mature and walk away from anything... Karl managed to do it... Texrat is not capable though... so since he wants to mix it up so be it... I call him on his absolutely phoney game he has going on here... I am not saying he didnt used to have contacts and know some info in the past... but now he doesn't have any contacts and he himself admitted to earlier in this thread WHILE HE WAS BACKPEDELLING. SO WHY DID HE SAY MY INFO WAS INNCORRECT??? Cuz it threatened him cuz he is an child... it's all here in this thread to read... I simple point out his glaring weaknesses... THIS is why this thread went the way it did. He needs to mind his own business like Karl learned to do and then I will mind my own businsess.

It's not stressful for me to write this stuff... I got 12 hours to kill everyday at work... helps put in the time. Plus i figure this will drive Texrat nuts.

PS: If he stopped attacking my posts like Karl stopped I would like that too... BUT THAT AINT GONNA HAPPEN IS IT?

Imagine going through life actually thinking the way he does. He forgot how to act like a human being after year 3 of University or something... I acutally read once when he said "us professionals think this way and blah blah blah" and if I were to take a guess how many personal name calling insults he dishes out to ANYONE who has a different opinion that he does well... I couldn't even count that high cuz I only have 2 years of college. One of his friends on here needs to send him a private message about this cuz although my methods have been comical/insane... i have this guy pegged dead on and u all know it.

The problem, euchreprof, is not jealousy. At least most of us would love to know what really goes on inside Nokia ... we usually respect people who are under NDA (non-disclosure agreements) though -- something that you seem incapable of comprehending. You might see it as childish to obey by NDA rules. I, and I may speak for others on this forum, see it as childish to defy NDA regulations. To each his own.
The problem is that you use forums in a rather immature way. I am referring, in particular, to (i) your complete hard-headedness at spelling things wrongly [it is Linux, not Lynix, and his name is Karel, not Karl]; (ii) your affection for PWN'ing people. Just in case you haven't read the signs posted up till now, ITT is not a gamer's forum. It's a serious (in content, not in language) forum where people are trying to discuss/praise/diss the Nokia Internet Tablet device family (plus a few other devices). It is not a forum where you PWN people, no matter how correct you are and incorrect they are. If you know something someone else does not, and if you believe that that something will advance the knowledge of the ITT community, then by all means post it. It does not make you superior to him/her. Nor does that person's lack of knowledge of that particular thing make him inferior to you. In particular, you do not PWN him.
In your particular case, the character we know as euchreprof has come across on at least two different threads as a somewhat immature person in his reasoning. I do not profess to be the god of maturity, or the god of anything else for that matter. It is my honest (and humble) opinion that you stop this "I will post a PWNed pic that will make you all ashamed" bullsh*t. If you do face up to these facts and decide to act maturely and responsibly from now on you will be taken seriously by the others (even texrat :P) and will contribute something positive to the forums. Hell, you might even learn something of value. You just have to stop for a second, re-read all the serious replies to your posts and figure out where you went wrong.

I conclude by stating that even though I am pretty much nobody on these forums and have probably never actually contributed much of "value" for the community at large, I still love these forums and I love the effort put into them by Reggie. ITT is a great resource, so let's stop all the flame wars and keep it that way.

but it works well on getting my point accross. i am mocking the way the kids type nowadays (i think it's funny btw) but texrat can't be mature enough like 3000 other members on here and he NEEDS to fight with this 12 year old. Just in case some readers are misled by recent ranting rhetoric, here is my original statement vis-a-vis Skype and June 11:

Now that we have reality out of the way, here's an excerpt from a post I left in another thread about massive (not possible to overstate that) organizational changes going in in Nokia:

I'm sure the functionally literate here can put two and two together to arrive at four. IF Skype is delivered next week, it will be because there is a huge concerted effort (as is typical of Nokia Finland in June) to get everything out before mass vacation. My concern therefore, as others have expressed, is software quality. To that end, I'd rather the release occur in August if need be.

We'll see. And no, I won't be embarrased at all June 11 if Skype is out. Anyone coming to such a nonsensical conclusion has obviously grossly misinterpreted my short and simple comments (above) on the matter.

I realised the other day that this forum is now THE SINGLE point of contact for me for the status of 800/770, and has been for the last five or six months.

In the early days of having a 770 eighteen months ago there were a few places I used to get info from, but ITT developed into THE authoritive, entertaining and educational resource. Hell, I probably wouldn't even know about the 800 if not for here, or certainly wouldn't have been aware to buy it on the first day it became avaiable.

So, I love this forum. But the last few months have seen a dearth of development on apps (apart from the wonderful "simple launcher", which does exactly what it says on the tin and should be bought by nokia for out of the box inclusion asap).

But mainly of course, it has been ruined by these "flame wars", which in reality seem to be one person with multiple accounts. seen this happen to forums before, seen the same results.

Personally, I don't even know if Texrat is "real" - I'm open to the idea that Nokia know the importance of this place (it's prominent on tableteer) and so maybe he is an employee who works in "street teaming" in some way, and even if that were the case, hey, great! learnt lots of snippets of info and he's got things like faceplates to keep the natives happy etc, it's all good.

Or maybe he really is a guy who lucked out in a job that happened to involve working on a product he feels genuine enthusiam for and likes to get involved and share what info he can.

Either way, he doesn't deserve all this crap. And nor do the general readers of the forum.

Threads like these are always funny for a page or two. but it's time to stop them now eh?

Also, flareup I have seen it before on other forums as well. As soon as the consensus of the forum goes against him he will move on to another victim...

However, I have also seen in forums that contain members with higher level skills such as this one, where the membership may turn the tables by doing some sleuth work starting with an IP log...

Then it gets really interesting as the place of employment or home addy for the knucklehead becomes known. Things like High School yearbook pictures get posted with all manner of objects photo-shopped in. :D With all that time to play he pro'ly even has a My Space page or other net profile available that is just chock full of potential hilarity.

Then it becomes both sad and dang entertaining...

I got my popcorn ready. :)
