[Power Kernel] Err.. Conflicting Application packages
 

I recently bought n900.....which had PR1.2 installed...
then after PR 1.3 was released I upgraded my firmware to PR1.3 via OTA.....

now while installing Enhanced Linux kernel for power users I get an error stating 'Conflicting Application packages'
pls tell ,me what is the problem....i didn't install Enhanced Linux kernel before....

Also if you bought the device used, then reflash to PR1.3 instead of updating OTA. This will ensure that theres nothing left behind that can conflict.

@ossipena - i neew to install the enhanced kernel for overclocking my phone

Install a package called rootsh
Then start X Terminal and type the following in the terminal:
root
apt-get update
apt-get install kernel-power

And take note of any errors you might get.

On PR1.3, trying to install enhanced Maemo 5 kernel 2.6.28.10

i had same problem n i suddenly fixed it when uninstalled mobile hot spot,if it persists try uninstalling any programe tht is related to kernel tht u installed b4

yes.. this solved my issue. i removed Hotspot and the custom hildon-desktop applications. After that I was able to install the power kernel.
