MeeGo on N900; The past, present and future

Does anybody know what was said at today's Meego conference presentation? Surely somebody on the forum must of attended or watched the video stream and can report back anything of note?

I would like to know if Meego does have a future on the N900 now that Meego o/s seems to need a minimum of 512MB of Ram to work, if not, it will be a major disappoint if PR1.3 is effectively as good as it is ever going to get for the N900.

ehhhhh.... where to begin with this post.

1) search for Meego conference on this very forum
2) there is a paid team working on putting Meego on the n900 (n900 is the ARM reference device) See meego.com for more.
3) why would 256mb of RAM be a problem? isnt that exactly what the n900 has?
4) PR 1.2 is not as good as it gets, PR 1.3 is.

1) Nothing on the forum about the N900 presentation?
2) Doesn't mean it will be any better than meamo for an user like me?
3) Sorry I of course meant 512MB
4) If we get PR1.3 I doubt it will will bring Flash 10.1 etc

In endof 2011 no one will care about flash anyway except adobe that will cry cause no one will use that kind of ****. its broken, eating battery and is slow.

btw apt-get dist-upgrade if u dont have pr1.3 atleast what I know of my two N900 has PR1.3 ;)

Lets forget about Meego!

Too much specification for not enough success.

Meego applications will work on Maemo.

Lets work on Dalvik for Maemo and on Nitdroid.

I'm waiting for a debian for mobile devices with gesture support. Debian has reasonable specifications.

Meego may go to hell.

I think the yesterday is about AMD jumping on the bandwagon of MeeGo: http://www.pcworld.idg.com.au/articl...ego_os_effort/

Not sure about present and future. XD

should I take it that nobody has seen the presentation then, assuming it took place yesterday?

Re: MeeGo on N900; The past, present and future

The minimal specifications of meego are ridiculous.

Those minimal specifications are the FULL specifications for a full debian destop without limitations (no minimal specifications for desktop debian!!)

That are no minimal specifications for little devices.
