@ammyt... there is "Nitdroid auto-installer" there's "Nitdroid Uninstaller"... how about a third icon in maemo called "Nitdroid Resetter".. :)

i m trying to boot nitroid but it s not working
i succesfully installed it from the auto installer
then i picked number 2, then i see the letters android
"android" swipes and swipes (i hope u understand what i mean)
then after around 10 secs it begins again and again.
i waited for 5 min but it didn t stop, i just see android.
what do i have to do now?
please help me thx

hai... I installed NITDroid N14 ICS version...

Problems:
1.camera is not working.
2.internet is not working.
3.voice calls not working.

pleaseeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeee help for this.....

Hi maemo. Nitroid working fine for me. But I can't get my 3g connection to work. I have tried manually setting the apn according to my network provider (vodafone UK).

Any suggestions please?

hey, every time i try to start nitroid i have the guru error
i saw a fix at the wiki (step 11)
but it s not working
i installed nano
i go to xterminal, root, then
nano /etc/........ the code which is on the wiki
then it opens another thing (xterm or nano, i don t know)
there i just see white and some things at the bottom

how can i fix the guru error?

if there is a sd card in your N900 try to remove it and then try to boot into nitdroid. is your Nitdroid installed correctly ?

i don t have a sd card in my n900
how can i check whether my nitroid is installed correctly?
multiboot works and i can choose nitroid there, than i have this guru problem
just like some more guys
so it seems "normal"
but i don t know how to fix it, step number 11 isn t working for me..

@ichunddu9: Uninstall Nitroid in Maemo Menu by clicking on Uninstall Nitdroid. it will uninstall Nitroid and also kernel power + multiboot. Reboot your phone and after that delete every folder in eMMC which is related to Nitdroid. then reinstall Nitdroid by using auto-installer if you still encounter this problem then i will guide you to modify multiboot entry file for Nitdroid.

ya it will not work i told u donwload from the 2 media fire folders and keep your folder saved on your computer to not ask again .
also dont write umay just write the name of the source folder where you saved them on your n900 /MyDocs ???

i did that and it works now but only for the browser! not in apps!
eg. playstore or whatsapp shows no connection with 3g but works with wifi.

Browser works with 3g but doesn't show images!

The background data is ENABLED

wierd huh?
any ideas?

*Edit. OK nevermind this for now i think its working fine now.

but i now have anroid for 2 days, downloaded some apps, restartet 5 times or so
why isn t it installing it?
or do i have to update an app or when does it install playstore?

Enable Heap and Swap for Nitdroid then it will be lot smoother.

For Heap:

Code:

Boot into Maemo

Open Xterm and Type

leafpad /home/system/build.prop

when leafpad open build.prop file then type at the end of the file:

dalvik.vm.heapsize=32m

Save it and close leafpad and xterm

For Swap:

Code:

Open Xterminal in Maemo and type:

root

mount /home /and

leafpad /and/default.prop



Look for persist.swap.swappiness=0 then change the 0 to 1

Thats it. your Nitdroid will be very smooth. and about play store it will update itself.

yes. for me it updated when i connected with Internet. btw there is no difference between Play Store and Market. both are same just UI is a little bit different.:):)
