does ICS NITDroid still use the same assigned keys in N12?
i tried to look for the answer but didn't find it. :(
it would be great if the software buttons are used instead of the remapped ones, i'm not too comfortable with over-using my camera button. :p

ammyt i tried the new installer. i chosed 2.3.7 to be installed but it only installed 2.3.4. didnt updated it to 2.3.7 even all files were already there in .nitdroid folder. is this is a bug ? nitdroid is running fine. updated to 2.3.7 manually.

How to properly shutdown or reboot nitdroid to properly reboot back to maemo... ?
As i got the problem yesterday and I wanted to try it once again ;)

For the NITDroid UMay 2.3.7 which kernel need to install, because with rc7 when i restart to nitroid its shows blank screen and nothing more.

yes it uses same button pattern. if you want to use software buttons install button savior. and unfortunately it will not work in ICS as it requires root access to work and root access in ICS is not working till yet even updating Superuser to 3.0.7. will work fine in 2.3.4 and also in 2.3.7.

rc7 kernel working fine for me. installed 2 hours ago to check new installer and everything is working fine.

Then why i got black screen and nothing boots up, just light the black screen, about a month ago when i installed manualy it worked.

when using this new nitdroid-installer beta at x-terminal, an error came out asking me whether i want to remove previous nitdroid installed. if yes, i have to reboot the device after that. after reboot, my phone screen application name become weird.for example, calender has become cal_ap_name. what has occurred? HELP!!!!!

i installed nitdroid with the new beta 3. i installed N12 and upgraded to N13 manually. i instaled set cpu. and overclocked it to 900 mhz and performance option. but still my nitdroid is not fast as shown in the youtube video.or as much as u guys. what else can i do to make it more stable and fast.it also rebooted once. :(

my n900 cant boot back to maemo.. :( ... kernel crash I think...

stucks at Nokia Logo with white light..:(... reflashing the second time..

lol for the last 3 days multiboot broke the kernels 3 times - it says guru mediation and some other thingas which I don't remember. The solution is to flash with pr 1.3 kernel

Omg my stupid mistake in config file.. Really stupid.. :D i typed "ITEM_DEVICE=$mmcblk0p2" then i corrected to "ITEM_DEVICE=mmcblk0p2" and works like a charm :cool:

@ammmyt: I would suggest to you to add a Yes/No question when uninstalling nitdroid... I use multiboot for kernel-power and when I uninstall nitdroid I don't wan't multiboot removed... that's annoying...
Moreover I tried to install ICS but it got stuck on a black screen with a small underscore on the top left corner of the screen... I had to remove the battery to reboot the phone and maemo kernel was corrupted and I had to reflash the kernel... why this happens?

Flashed my phone, tried installing with latest beta maybe 10 times. Copied the files in MyDocs, MyDocs/nitroid , MyDocs/.nitroid.. none of them is seen. Allowed download, installation goes on, but i see some error messages in xterminal like directory not found, file not found, etc.
And as klarkent says, it's annoying the uninstaller also uninstalls multi-boot and kernel power every time :(

enable heap and swap. use it for sometime and occassionaly give it some restarts it will be faster. my cpu is set at 550 max and running like a silk.

thank you. but why do i have to reboot nitdroid frequently.? and how does it make it fast?

(edited) the second one was done from before.so i dint hav to add the new line. so i only did the swappiness

I have installed nitdroid 2.3.4 and its works well but today morning i playing GOF 2 and my phone crashed now its not starting :( i have 3 options in multiboot 1. Maemo, 2. Maemo with kp49 and 3. Nitdroid. When selecting nit its showing Guru meditation and for maemo its deadloops. Any way to solve without reflash coz i have very precious data on my phone.

i dont know but as my experience in using nitdroid it becomes faster after few restarts. if you want to come back to 2.3.4, use 2.3.7 for few days until it becomes smooth and fast then revert back to 2.3.4. you will enjoy stability of 2.3.4 and smoothness of 2.3.7. and also new version of market will also work in 2.3.4 without any force closes.

ok. i will use as u say.but after using 2.3.7 and rebooting it few times. when it becomes fast enough you hav to help me to revert back.:p.

ok so i tried to install NITdroid
flashed my phone with the 8gb emmc image
and maemo 1.3
installed newest kernel power, etc
downloaded the installer from this thread on page 1
installed it
gets to multi boot and select the nitdroid option 2
loads part of the way then freezes and error pops up

then boots multi boot again

i dont think so that there is an fix for it. use it for few days when it becomes totally smooth then downgrade to 2.3.4. sound will work and will be as smooth and fast as 2.3.7.

I am not able to flash eMMC, waiting for conn. Or phone leaves flashing mode. Tried saveral times. Help me i am not able to use any app. Even received msg. Also not opening, eror comes "close application".
