adobe after effects cs4 is the main program
(or CS5 if you have a 64bit system)
illustrator / photoshop for the image editing
adobe soundbooth for the audio editing
you need at least 3gb of RAM
and a midrange graphics card, or rendering will take forever
there are tons of tutorials showing how to use it on youtube:

and finally im just using pre-made project files and chopping them up, mixing them and adding audio

Lee my man, different request here..... I would do it myself but AE is not my speciality, PS, IR and AI are fine but not AE...... Yet......

Can you possibly run me up a boot video using Radeon in it's current format, but rotate the text (and only the text, not the graphic) 90˚ counter-clockwise so that when you hold the phone in portrait it appears in the right orientation....? Text would simply be "WELCOME" followed by "INITIALISING" - no personalisation so that everyone else can benefit from it. The only personalisation I would like is that the attached font is used for the text - Sony_Sketch_EF. I take it you can change the font and rotation of the text within AE without too much hassle.......?

Would be very much appreciated if you could knock me one up like this.

this is quite a work. i wish i am more active in visiting this forum. I use Sony Vegas Pro 9 for Video Editing. I have never used Adobe Aftereffects. Can you tell me how can i take your custom video and change the name, then i can use sony vegas to render it. I saw you mentioned settings in a post in first couple of pages. i can look them up.

These are very nice videos. I wonder one thing though: does the boot process waits for the entire video to be played before "moving on" with the startup steps or does the video is just played while the boot process is happening?

I'm asking because I wouldn't want to "add" 20 secs to the boot process just to have some very nice boot video...

hey, can u please make a linux boot screen? like with the penguin preferably aur maybe just linux. it doesnt neccesarlily have to move, the penguin. u can do like penguin and loading bar. or any other movement aur whatever.
