N900 won't boot - no usb icon no Nokia logo no nothing

I saw many threads about Nokia N900's which won't boot. However all these N900's do the same:
The "boot" like showing the Nokia logo with(out) backlight, and the phone is able to make an usb connection doing the power+"u" trick.

Mine isn't booting at all. No Logo, no backlight, no vibrating, no nothing

I found my N900 dead the other morning, and the only thing happens is next:

When I attach the wall-power adapter or usb power cord to the phone, the led indicator is steady orange and after 10 - 20 minutes the led is steady green.

As far as I learned the indicator flashes orange when charging and becomes green when fully charged. So I "think" my battery is fully charged since it indicates green.

Okay, let's continue the story:

I tried the trick by hold "u" and plug in the usb cable (which is attached to my pc).

Nothing happens... Also tried spare battery at the local phone shop, but also nothing happens.

I'm running out of options, and afraid I have to go to a Nokia service center.

Is there something more I can try?

Did you remove the battery? If not try that, wait a while and try to load again. Maybe the load app needs a reset too..

This happened to me the other day. Take the battery out of your phone and hook it up to your pc or laptop via the usb cable. You shouldnt get any response on the phone or computer. leave it plugged in for a min or two. Then insert the battery and close the cover while its still attached to the computer and turn the phone on. It should work.

if none of those work try connecting usb cable to computer but not n900. Remove battery from N900 and then connect usb. Whilst pressing u key down reinsert the battery. Have used this method several times with success. Granted a little tricky but worth a shot.

Tried loading the battery in my n96 overnight, got fully loaded. Still nothing happens on my N900 :(

also tried tips of the dark night and optimist prime with no luck at all..

Think it will go back to Nokia :(

ive had this loads of times, for me the battery needed charging, but it wouldnt charge properly until i had the normal orange flashing light
i sometimes had a full orange light and then later a green light,
i left battery out for a couple of hours and tried again later until i had the 'correct' orange flashing light, left it for 20 mins then turned phone on and then charged it fully

It's a brick.
Slap some cement on it and find a house with a hole that fits. Now its useful again.
No, seriously, don't forget to take out the SD card before returning it to Nokia. And I'm truly sad if you lost data in the MyDocs folder, hope you had backups.

This strikes me as a serious flaw in the firmware! The phone should not stay on until the battery is completely drained. The phone should turn off in order to protect the battery. Someone should fix this problem!

In general, the phone doesn't stay on till the battery is fully drained, just as you specified. Should Nokia react hysterically because one phone seemed to act differently? I think it should not.

In this case, I personally would try another battery in the phone, but I have another battery, which helps.
