Re: Error after apt-get update
don't run any apt-get command if you have HAM open

Re: Error after apt-get update
The last line seems to indicate you had Application Manager open when you ran this. That's a no-no. Or maybe you weren't running as root?
Note that you can run apt-get update repeatedly and problems might fix themselves after a few tries. When I have problems I can't fix I sometimes fix them running App Mgr instead of Fapman. You could try disabling all your catalogs and see if the problem still exists, then add them back in a few at a time till you can figure out which catalog is causing the problem. Those are the basic things I try. The last is to just wait and see if someone fixes any problem beyond my control. |
Re: Error after apt-get update
That's not just it. "W: Conflicting distribution: http://repository.maemo.org fremantle-1.2 Release (expected fremantle-1.2 but got )" is an entirely different error. I've had it crop up before. As near as I can tell, the best solution is to just re-enter your repositories in the N900's app manager. I'm stuff unsure what causes it, but I've only gotten it once or twice since I started using FApMan instead of the stock App Manager. And while with HAM it tended to be a show stopper every once in a while, with FApMan it never seemed to cause problems installing things.
*Shrug* But yes, the other errors should be resolvable by just making sure you're running apt-get as root, and don't have another package manager open (since package managers are just UI front-ends for apt-get anyway). |
Re: Error after apt-get update
There was nothing open. So i rebooted the phone and opened only the console.
.. sudo gainroot or root .. apt-get update i still get the error i will try to disable and reenter the repositories thanks for replies ! |

Re: Error after apt-get update
Solved the problem for extras-devel catalog. I deleted and reenterd the extras-devel catalog. But this method doesn t work with the Mozilla multi Catalog.

Re: Error after apt-get update
You are obviously missing the key for apt to verify the packages from this mozilla repo. If you are not using firefox any more, you could either disable the repo or remove it .

Re: Error after apt-get update
Does anyone know where to get the gpg key for the mozilla repo? I didn't found it in the repo. Why don't they put it in the root dir like everybody else does.

Re: Error after apt-get update
How do you fix this GPG Kyey error? The GPG file is right here: http://moff.mozilla.com/latest-beta/...sts/fremantle/

Re: Error after apt-get update
Seems like this is a common problem - there is simply not a solution to this error and it should just be ignored?
