it's better to install it only not over 0.0.9

but u missed something ,

we said to install gingerbread on fresh 0.0.9

i.e u won't have data files because u didn't open 0.0.9 which is the problem in installing gingerbread over 0.0.9

sorry mido my mistake when i missed what i missed. thks for clear me now i know what to do thks a lot.

Mine works fine..
I'll make it nice and easy!

Code:

root
cd /home/user/MyDocs

bzip2 -d gingerbread.tar.bz2
mount /dev/mmcblk1p2 /and
cd /and
rm -rf * (this removes all the files from the old installation)
tar xvf /home/user/MyDocs/gingerbread.tar

cd /home/user/MyDocs

dpkg -i nitdroid-kernel-2.6.28-06_final1_armel.deb

This works. I have done this under 1 hour ago.
All works. Apply the patches using the same method as installing gingerbread (.tar blah blah).

I have no issues.

Re: [RELEASE] Android Gingerbread 2.3.1 (Experimental)

I think this build (2.3.1) is better.
It's faster (all hardware is the same for me [sd card]).
Albeit I never used flash. But the system responds better, snappier, faster, looks cooler (minus the launcher).

I just install PandaHome and good theme :)

Also.. Does anyone know why this build has not been rooted? I can't OC without it :(
