Re: The in-development Maemo 5 Community SSU
for some reason getting portrait mode doesn't work.
command dpkg -i hd_18_07_2011.deb he says can't find file. dpkg: error processing hd_18_07_2011.deb (--install): cannot acess archive: No such file or directory + with my new pc with windows 7 32bit, I also can't flash. When I enter my command I get a 2nd dos that dissapears directly and thats it. |
Re: The in-development Maemo 5 Community SSU
Use tab to autocomplete the filename. If the file still can't be found then you might be in the wrong place.
cd to the folder with the .deb, then dpkg -i hd_18[TAB] Kind Regards, D4 |

sudo gainroot |
Re: The in-development Maemo 5 Community SSU
Have i waited long enough to install this? I mean, how risky it is to try it by now? What are the chances for needing a reflash or finding missing functionality on somthing i use etc?

Re: The in-development Maemo 5 Community SSU
I have a question.
I don't like qwerty keyboard in portrait mode. Buttons are too small to be used with fingers (especially those for extra characters). Is there any way to change it to standard mobile phone keyboard layout? Thanks for the answer. |

I'm working on a portrait clock application
The clocks are working for me. Now I'm writing the worldclock window. Can someone try the alarms too? Rename /usr/bin/worldclock to /usr/bin/worldclock.bak to keep the old one. Here's the binary: http://dl.dropbox.com/u/12134784/CSSU/worldclock |
Re: The in-development Maemo 5 Community SSU
Friends, i help you try now

Re: The in-development Maemo 5 Community SSU
When I set the alarm, I set 2300 , then the alarms will show 11:00am and is tomorrow.

Re: The in-development Maemo 5 Community SSU

As all the previous alarms set are stored within an ini file (/var/cache/alarmd/alarm_queue.ini), this file can grow pretty big over time which causes a noticable lag with the program starting up, especially as I need to set between 15-20 alarms to wake me up in the morning. :p |
Re: The in-development Maemo 5 Community SSU
Is it possible to make the onscreen-keyboard a bit higher in portrait mode? So the buttons of symbols etc. can become a little bit bigger?
Like the default keyboard better than fastsmsevo and mcip . . . |
Re: The in-development Maemo 5 Community SSU

Re: The in-development Maemo 5 Community SSU
dpkg -i gives me "cannot acces archive: no such file or directory". I have 3 types of kind of file; a rotate.deb, hd_17_07_2011.deb, and hildon-desktop_2.2.142-13_armel.deb
Yes I am root, yes I've written the names right. :) and pressing tab doesn't autocomplete the filename. gonna search for the transitions.ini file |
Re: The in-development Maemo 5 Community SSU
then youre not in the right directory
|
Re: The in-development Maemo 5 Community SSU
did it!
opening xterm, sudo gainroot dpkg -i <filename> didn't work sudo gainroot dpkg -i /home/user/MyDocs/hildon-desktop...deb did work. |
